So I went to the grow shop yesterday and I was told about LEC or Light Emitting Ceramic. Does anyone here know about them or are currently using them? Based on what I have seen they seem pretty legit

I've heard of ceramic fixtures like where u screw the bulb in....

I got a sun systems LEC 315 with the 3100 and used it to flower and veg three blue kush that yielded right at 8 oz 69 days after getting the seeds wet.

Here is a time lapse video of the grow. The first three weeks I had them under SOLAR STORM 440 LED.

Once they got a few nodes, they went under the LEC 315. I didn't see the point in firing the tent up just to veg seedlings for a week or two.

Nice the dude at the store seemed to be pretty stoked on them, so you would say that they work good? I am thinking of getting two dual 315s with the double ended hid port in the middle

I think they grow some very good quality with very good weight without any muss or fuss. They are very good in my opinion.

Guys at the store love new shit I remember when led was the next big thing lol

This is the first I've heard of this lol, had to google! That LEC 315 looks great, a little pricey, but just using 315 watts is very attractive. I just bought a new Mars led and I think it's real draw is about 315 and is claimed to be for a 2x4' area. That LEC 315 didn't clearly annotate its' coverage area, but the Q&A section mentions 4x4 with 5x5 being a max maybe.

That's a big difference, if 315 watts of LED covers 8 sq ft and 315 watts of LEC covers 16 or 25 sq ft. Now I'm dying to see a side by side yield result! If everything holds water, that would be a very good investment of the $500 purchase price.
