If you buy a combo like what Hank posted, it comes with both the fan and filter. You will need to buy ducting if you plan to exhaust the filtered air out of the room/area. I have always used metallic or white duct tape to attach my ducting to my fan and filter, its more handy than clamps and you can tape whatever else you need with it too. I have a 3x3 tent and i hang both my filter and fan from the top supports by bungee cords so there is no vibration to be felt or heard. You could just set it in there with no duct out and it will scrub the air of smells if thats all you needed it to do. I duct air out of my tent because of heat issues inside. And 2 plants can most certainly stink out a large apartment or home. I had 2 DNA 60 Day Wonders destroying my old apartment cause my inline fan went down and had to IMMEDIATELY go buy another just to keep it smell free.\
Hank, no offense taken i was just posting my own personal experience. Im looking to upgrade from my 4" fan/filter to a 6" so i am tempted to give that combo a try! My current Phat Filter is almost 2yrs old but still chugging strong but i know its only a matter of time.....
Reps Urban. Your a good man. I will say the only down side to that carbon filter is some lose carbon. I would put the fan on it and tap it to loosen it all up before installing.
