You could also use some EMT electrical tubing drill couple of holes in it and zip tie it or if you’re handy with a grinder you could cut a notch on both ends

I am making one now to house my chillmax fan... Will be finished tomorrow. I am using a umbrella extention pole, 2 x suzuki bandit handle bar raisers and a 5 l thinners can cut up. Here are pics so far I'll send more when it is finished/ painted and installed tomorrow if you are interested

Nice used to ride a bandit 1200s,I’m into harleys these days ,I used a piece of round bar I bought from the local hardware shop to hold my extra light cheap fix works well
