Ridiculous thread title haha... but oh well. Informative, that's for sure.

I'm pumped about this strain. It's highly likely I'll be raising a DP AutoUltimate every other grow. I have two tents and run only one plant in each staggered for a number of reasons. I really need a consistently big yielder that still packs a punch. Well... the AutoUltimate is an obvious choice. I need it to be my Cannabis Security Blanket.

This will be my second grow with the XGS-190...if you're following my other grow though I'm only 30 days into my first LED grow. So it' still very new at this point. The big change is I've switched from Fox Farms Ocean Forest to Canna Terra Pro+ and I'll be including the UV-B bulb mentioned in the title for a second time (which I have yet to start using in my other grow).

The CTP+ is not like your usual soil. Supposed to be high grade materials and have enough lime to last an entire grow. Tree bark for antiseptic qualities and improved aeration/drainage (perlite replacement). The link has most of the info. The pics will give you an idea of just how different it is. It's hard to describe so far. Smells nice haha. It's like mulch that went through a food processor. It's much lighter and airier. It seems to hold moisture for longer...but not as much of it. It doesn't stay as soggy as soil...but doesn't seem to get completely dry quite as fast. I like it a lot so far and hope that it really adds to my grow.

Day 7 - Not a lot going on obviously. But she does have great size and certainly shows promise for only being Day 7. Can't wait to see how she's looking three weeks from now! Ah...these pic also do a decent job of showing what the Canna Terra Professional Plus is like. Thanks for reading dudes/ladies and stay tuned for a Day 20ish update...

Pictures aren't the greatest due to the reflection of the LED. Apologies.

I'm in... it will be interesting to hear how the extra UVB affects the THC production further on down the line. Should make for a more potent end product. good luck fella.

I'll actually be using UV-B even sooner in the grow linked in my signature if you're interested. I'll be hanging the bulb vertically in the corner this weekend. I haven't completely settled on the schedule but I discuss that throughout the grow journal. At about three weeks into flowering I'll be running it six hours in the middle of my light schedule. This bulb is as hardcore as it gets in terms of output so I'm psyched.

Hey DirtyN0rth, what kind of uvb are you setting up? I mean brand and bulb? I'm just now installing two of the Zoo Med 26w 10.0 bulbs, which I think should be good for my 2x4ft tent. I may go to 4 of them later, but I'm starting modestly for now, considering the small space.

I've got an Arcadia D3+ 34" 39w 12% UV-B bulb. I bought two of these setups out of Maine. These bulbs are tough to get in the states, but are the highest UV-B output I could find. I believe Reptisun 10.0 are the closest that are on Amazon and places like that that are a bit more common in the US. LightYourReptiles is a bit pricey but I wanted the Arcadias and I like that they come matched with fixtures. The fixtures are super minimalist and lightweight which I wanted because I've got two 35"x35" tents one fixture each. Between CO2 pads, the LED, CO2 reader, and oscillating fan there's enough going on in em as it is.

Anyways, based on some of what I've read these bulbs are the best in terms of depth penetration. I'll be hanging them vertically in the back right corner and 1/4 turning the plant every night. I guess UV-B dissipates over a fairly short distance, but these are pretty effective from 6- 18 inches. This should be plenty for one half of the plant, and the turning should also keep from stressing one side of the plant. The wattage is about right for the space as well so I'm hopeful I'll get good results. I'll run it for six hours in the middle of my light schedule (3:30am-9:30am) with about two or three weeks left in flowering. I use Bloombastic so I thought that would be a good time to start the UV-B as it's such a big boost in P-K. I've also considered starting it a week earlier than that at two hours a day to slowly acclimate the plant to UV-B so as not to overly stress it early. Although, it seems that others have given plants much more UV-B without issue so I haven't decided for sure yet.

Yeah the Arcadia's are definitely the real deal at 12%! Price was outta my range for now, but if I see enough crystal and any potency + from my 10% Zoo Med's, I will strongly consider the Arcadia's when it's upgrade time. I have read that the people with Arcadia's swear by them, so you should be happy :)

good luck, i am personally fascinated by the UV arguments so it will be great to see

The whole idea that cannabis uses its crystals as a self-defense mechanism is fascinating. I've always kept a very low humidity during flowering so that she'll produce more crystals to prevent over-drying. Both instances are difficult in terms of finding proof as tio their effectiveness

15 Days

I'm kinda OCD so my updates will likely be divisible by five.

She looks pretty good. Growing nicely. Looking a bit haggard is all...the colors kind of a sandy greenish yellow. But, I was looking at other DP AU grows and it seems to be quite common in the early days of the strain. I have a feeling this baby is gonna turn out pretty decent.

I just found out I'll be receiving a Believer Pack from Aptus. I think it comes with one other product too, but I'm interested in the FaSilitor specifically. This is the first nutrient I've ever encountered where the price actually shut me down on buying it before I even finished reading about it. A 250ml bottle for $125 on eBay was the best price I found. But, this stuff is supposed to be the real deal. I already use Rhino Skin, but this is a bit different and a bit more than just silicon. From what I gather the things that Aptus says about Silicic Acid isn't just Nute Company BS or whatever, but that it does provide Silicon much quicker and has other advantages as well. Idk I'm not a botanist/chemist/doctor of anything. The link to the site is packed with information and there's a video as well. But, obviously the company makes money by selling their product, so that's what the site is designed to do.

Anyways, I'm still perfectly willing to give this shit a run for free. That, and the dosage is such a small amount ( 3ml/5Gal. - I'll use about .5ml a day total on two plants) that it'll last a bit. It's really gonna have to blow me away to get me to put up the cash for more of it in the future though. But, this AutoUltimate looks like it's gonna be somewhat lanky so this should be a great plant to test the FaSilitor on. I noticed that the website also states that if you double the dose it will slow the vertical growth of your plant. Now, I'm not sure if there's any truth to this, but my tents are 79" tall I believe and I've got even more vertical room with the LED's so I doubt I'll be experimenting with that function of the FaSilitor. I'll start it as soon as it comes in and I'll definitely keep and eye out for differences.

Guess that's it...Here she is on Day 15
