Well, here we grow, so to speak. This is a 2'x2'x48" high closet grow, in a 35' 5th wheel, of all places. It bothers me on many levels to buy from a store, so this is my way out of that!
Two plants, one SP, and one CJ, 50/50 FFOF, and coco mixed. I added a couple tablespoons of Dolomite to the mix, as well as a cup or so of extra chunky Pearlite. The containers are 3 gallon fabric bags. A Can33 and 4" Tjerlund fan keep delicious smells away from prying noses.
Lighting is a Viparspectra 300, with a 150HPS available, if needed for temperature control later on, or if the Chinese LED poops the bed.
This is my first attempt at an "almost organic" grow. I picked up a GH Go Box of Bio nutes, and a liquid PH test kit.
I suck at soil growing, let me just throw that out there. I spent years running a homemade 6 bucket recirculating waterfarm system I cooked up, and got pretty good at it. Not so much soil... This will be a big learning experience!
In many ways, hydro is cheating. If you make a really big goof, as long as you catch it early, you just dump, flush, reload, and carry on. Some of my previous soil attempts have ended with what looked like Charlie Brown's Chrismas tree. We are going to try to avoid that, this time.
My biggest challenge may be keeping these trained to fit within my space. I have started some fairly aggressive LST, while they are still young and flexible, and I hope that will be enough, so that I don't have to resort to supercropping, or other drastic measures.
Seeds broke ground 11/6. I didn't bother taking pics, as it is all pretty boring at that point, other than me pacing the floor, and driving my Wife insane :)
I will update as I can, every few days. Win, lose, or draw, come along for the ride!
Here's a couple pics, showing the last week of growth.
Thanks for looking, any and all advice appreciated!
Regards, Kyle

Looks great man, you will be able to get plenty of help here. Have you looked at the micro grow section here? Several do grow in smaller spaces. I will tag a few here if you dont mind.
@Smorf and @912GreenSkell grow in tight spaces too.

Thanks for the links, Dudeski. I will check those out.
I built this cabinet to be a stealth grow, but with only a 3" exhaust, and a couple of flow-robbing 90° elbows, keeping things at the right temp was an issue, at first. Luckily, in a rare moment of foresight, I pre-ran the entire setup for almost a week, to get a good feel for what was going to happen in there. Life would be much easier with a 6" fan, and more range of airflow, but my options were severely limited, in the confines of an RV. We enjoy having friends stop by, and they have zero need to know what is going on in my closet....
Two sayings I took to heart, when I started growing. "No tell, no smell, no sell", and maybe the best of the two "Pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered".
I am looking forward to smoking both of these, but especially the Critical Jack. I ran the photoperiod version for the better part of a year, and enjoyed many great harvests of some of my favorite weed. I'm hoping the auto version is as good!

I agree! You can always make a diy carbon scrubber. At the end of the exhaust it would also muffle fan sounds

Good call. The way I have the exhaust routed works well for sound. Just a soft whisper of air out in to our bedroom through a metal vent, painted to match the wood trim. I also bored an outlet hole in to the basement storage area of our RV. I can open/close the airflow to either recycle in to the living space at night, or, when its hot during the day, I dump it into the storage bay. If I overwhelm the Can33, which is likely in late bloom, I can add a second filter in a plenum box in the storage bay. Might have to boost it with a second fan, but nooooo smell. I appreciate freedom, even more than premium smoke...

Day 24 update:
The battle of temp and humidity continues. I was pretty cocky going in to this adventure, having built several grow rooms over the years, with great success, as far as environmental control goes. 78 and sunny lights on, 70 lights off. No big deal, right? Well, I have been snacking on a bit of humble shit pie since I started this grow!
The tiny space, and poor insulation of an RV make it a tough gig to regulate 4 square feet. It's really a micro environment inside of a really small space. 290 sq feet of living space doesn't make for much of a buffer. Temps and humidity change fast, depending on the weather. I am keeping up with the game, but it's a struggle compared to growing in a house, or apartment, that's for sure.
I am fuckclobberingly baked on some Jack Herer at the moment, so hopefully this update makes sense. You know, the kind of high where you aren't sure if you should go for a brisk walk, watch TV, get a snack, or shit your pants on the couch while holding your teddy bear....
Anyway, here are a few pics. The setup isn't completely stealth, but, with 5 minutes warning, I can pull the heater out of the closet, seal up the door to stop the light leaks, and slide my Wife's clothes over from the the left side to mask the door. All the wood grain finish stuff in the closet I had to build. The Can33 sits behind the extended wood paneling on the shelf. I used contact paper from Amazon to make it all blend in as well as I could. Like I said before, friends always welcome, 'taint none of your business whats cookin' in the closet.
I though I had nute burn on both girls, but I am thinking it may be light burn, since I am new to LED's. Feeling my way lower and lower with the Vipaspectra, I got down to (and the plants grew up to) 12" from the canopy. The newest growth shows what looks like nute burn, but I have only fed twice at 1/4 strength with the Biothrive line. I have been adding Calmag, since I am using RO water for this grow. I only use 2-3ML/gal, as it has 1-0-0 N in it.
The uncertainty of feeding these comes from my mix. 50/50 FFOF and Coco. I've read over and over that OF is hot, and I don't doubt that one bit, looking at these girls, and how little I have fed them. I have just been wingin' it, and mostly just adding water, and Cmag.
LST worked out pretty well. I would like to have gotten the main cola of the SP a little lower, but that girl went rigid on me overnight, it seems. I hope I will be ok for height, as overhead space is limited.
Anyway, enough blather, I promised pics, so here ya go. Sitting in the closet, the SP is always on the left.
More to follow, when I have some more progress to show.
Regards, Kyle

Thanks, Dudeski
After this run is complete, I need to tear out the reflectix , and install some foam insulation board to isolate the space from temp fluctuations. Right now I range from 71f overnight, to 80f during the day. Being in a bedroom closet, I have to run it cooler at night, so I can sleep. More efficient insulation should help keep temps up in the grow, without raising the temp in our bedroom. I just can't sleep if I'm too warm!

Anybody have input on switching back and forth between led and hps during flower? Most of my heat control issues are at night, when the temp drops in to the low 70's in my closet. This happens even with a 600w oil filled heater running right in front of the air intake. I have a 150hps that runs nice and hot, and would likely allow me to turn the heater off. (Power is VERY expensive here)
Any concerns of harming the plants, if I have to switch back and forth?
Regards, Kyle
