Hi All,
I have noticed a height difference when growing out the Himalaya Blue Diesel strain. Out of five seeds, 4 of the plants were about 2 and 1/2 feet tall and 1 was about 15 inches tall. Side note: all of the 4 plants that grew tall had to be put into 12/12 to flower. While the short plant autoflowered after about 20 days in 19/5.
All seeds were purchased at the same time from a popular online distributor in 2013. All seeds came in the same packaging as HBD seeds. The difference in heights had me look at the strain info again and I noticed some differences listed on-line. When I bought the seeds I am sure that the height was listed as 11 to 16 inches. In fact, Herbie's today lists the height for this strain as 11 to 16 inches. (screen capture today, Dec. 29/15)
While the Short Stuff website lists the height at 20 to 32 inches. (screen capture today, Dec. 29/15)
I am not complaining at all or anything like that. The strain is quality no matter how high that it grows. I really like it and would recommend it. However, I prefer the shorter version if I could be sure to get it. Has anyone else noticed height differences while growing this strain like this. And, as a matter of interests and learning, what would account for the height differences and changes in the listed heights for this strain.
