Dialing In MEGA CROP for Auto's

First time using megacrop and sweet candy on autos. Growing in sunshine mix 4 and ph to 6.3. I fed at 5g/gal last watering 2 days ago. I bought some calmag just to have on me but just wanted to confirm if that what this issue is? Only on the most progressed into flower. Affected leaves feel very dry.

If you aren't yet, try adding Earth Juice MicroBlast or similar.

I grow outside in both sunshine & coco.
I don't want to use the word wrong...ok?
It might be preferable to lower your ph to about 5.9 for one thing.
And pending your waters initial ppm .
5g/gallon...sounds a little low.
I prefer the parts per million approach, simply because you adapt to volume of water in each feed with more consistency.
Pending your plants feed.
Start low around 400...and increase...
I feed 60 of 80 plants at 500 and life is great.
20 others are pale if fed anything under 500.
Listen to your plants.

Sorry this seems a little confusing - 5g per gal of MC doesn't seem low to me at any stage & would give a PPM ~700 or EC 1.4? Also I've not used Sunshine Mix, so not sure what the pH should be, but if he's treating it like soil 5.9 might be a tad low at this stage. Ingredient list:
  • Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss
  • Fine Sphagnum Peat Moss
  • Bark
  • SUN-COIR
  • Perlite
  • Coarse Perlite
  • Fine Perlite
  • Vermiculite
  • Fine Vermiculite
  • Dolomite Lime
  • Long-Lasting Wetting Agent
  • Organic Wetting Agent
  • RESiLIENCE
  • Natural Peatland Aggregate

I acctually do the ppm method typically. The last feed I measured and it came to about the same. My water is 180-200ppm and with the feed minus sweet candy was 950. Il def be upping it next feed and add bit more calmag. I still need to double check what my runoff is, just waiting for the pots to dry a bit more.

For me, this is one of the most frustrating parts of trying to "dial in" MC.

Some people are using very low 1-2g/gal strength feeds throughout and everything is great. Then another person comes along and goes "YOLO, I blast them at 4 g/gal ASAP and push it to 6 by the end" and they also have crazy good plants.

Then here I am (and sounds like others) where I'm like "I'm going to start slow, listen to my plants and add as necessary" and at some point things snowball and I'm combating deficiencies and/or lockouts.

I have this feeling that switching from my MH bulb to a new LED setup caused the demand for more Cal.

I think you're all right.
Because MC is not a one size fits all solution.
Lighting certainly has to do with your feed rate as well.
Part of the issue comes from the fact that feed rates have changed based upon which ever version of MC your using ( and write about).
Another issue is soil type as well as ph:deadhorse:
The more plants of the SAME STRAIN you grow, the easier it is.
Once you tune your feed for a particular strain. You can pretty much repeat the process.
Once again, I can say this because I work with the same strains (f1,f2,f3's) all the time.

I agree. I have great results with MC V2 and who does not like it's price and ease of use BUT not ease of dialing it in. I have tried 4 times to get the first 2 weeks of my grow to look like many many others. I tried it high and I tried it low. Some how they seemed to survive the burnt curled up tips or the limey green creep that comes from not enough. I am trying. Tho I have come to accept that I am not the fastest learner in this world. I am trying. This last grow I just started real slow. Like .25 gram of MC V2 on day two after they popped. Then I increased it from there. They are looking the best that I have grown since finding this group. Ease it was not. Now again this could just be me.

So we are witnessing the metamorphose of Mega Crop.

I use 100% coco with AutoPots and air domes. Every tent/grow is unique IMHO and we can emulate and copy what ever we can from others but no one has the same set up. So I too am now looking at the ladies and they will tell me what they need. I just have to listen more patently.

Maybe this time I have it just rite
