New Grower day 63 not budding yet? help ?whats going on?

well my goal was to grow fem. af with 24hr. light.this is all I want to do. I purchased seed for this. tried two plants. one is great the other is this mistery plant that I don't have a clue if it will do any good. I don't want to clone it since its not what I want to grow.
but I have been pulling it out of the light every 12hr.to try to get something from it. I leave my good budding one to enjoy all 8 lights. I also started another seed. the main problem is I paid for fem. auto flower seed. but grew a odd ball. which wasted time and money.

that's wild. my thought as a rookie was, this is a plant I was impressed with. so I want to clone it. at least one more of it. but its been flowering buds for awhile.it sounds like I needed to clone before flowering. but you say im not able to take a clipping from a auto to try and grow just one more? that's all I wanted. I didn't want more than one more of that plant. I read how things can get messed up jean wise cloneing. my thinking was the seed did good so at least clone one off of it that should do good again. but nothing more. thanks for your help.

But the way autos are genetically programmed, they run their cycle and won't stop to reconstitute the cutting and turn it into a new, complete, plant. On my very first grow, I broke off the top of the main branch trying to train the plant, so I stuck it in water. It had a few bud sites, but only one developed. The rest of the plant grew, etc. But the "clone" was just one bud. [emoji53]

Photos you can clone, any time before it has buds. It sort of works backwards from what you're saying; you take some clones of all photos you grow, in case you like the strain. If you don't like it, you can always throw away or give away the clones. [emoji6] [emoji106]

You need to talk with the vendor, show the plants side by side. Some will do something about it, some won't. But it doesn't hurt to ask.

Since you don't have a separate space to flower an auto, you can bin it and start another auto. I think that's what I'd do.

Then see if you can get a credit or something with the vendor towards your next order.

great info, thanks. sometimes its overwhelming to search for info. its really nice when you all keep helping. thanks.
this is a pic of the one ive been happy with. you all might laugh, but ive smoked a lot of it from the bottom up as it started buds. because im starving for it. so now the top buds are really doing great.day 69 for this. its only been under good led lights for a week or two.when I started it I had a bunch of big cfl bulbs.worked okay but I feel I have a better light now. now the buds are getting great, makes me regret robbing it now. should be really good. I hope I can keep growing this type plant.

MAYBE he can clone it......... if it is an auto cross that expressed the dominant photo period genes, but contains auto flower genes also, they will be very difficult to clone. I've had photo period dom clones take 6 weeks to root IF at all. They usually look like they are about to grow then die. I've been trying various methods for over a year now, bet success for photo dom auto crosses is about 10% as an average

But the one you just switched to 12/12, you can clone. [emoji121] [emoji2] [emoji106]

These is no 100% garauntee any photo/auto cross will autoflower. Depending at what stage they locked the genetics by femminising, there can up to 10% photos, 2%-5% seems average. The farther the strain was taken to stabilize, the less likely to find a photo. Strains taken to at least F5 have the lowest rate of photos

Sorry, you can't clone an auto plant. You take a cutting and it will be one bud, it won't develop like photo plant cuttings do. [emoji53]

after 63 days of 24hr. light. the plant didn't produce buds like the other af,plant. so you all told me to change it to 12/12 light. its been on 12/12 for 16 days now. its still growing taller but the tips still look the same.nothing else is changing. im still not sure if this will give me bud.any more thoughts or info on what Im dealing with?
