Plants look amazing! even with some leaf issues you are far enough along that it should not hurt your final harvest to much.
Thank you! Yeah I'm hoping everyone finishes strong, they all seem to be taking everything in stride so fingers crossed I'm headed in the right direction. The AvT got the worst so I know that definitely will affect the finish but the rest should be good. I don't mind waiting a little longer if I need to for them to finish out.

This grow has been a bit like herding cats but the more I catch on to it the more I'm liking organics.

How much do you normally add to your soil per gallon?
I use 1/4 Cup per amendment no matter the size, and I rake it into the top layer. It lasts typically 20-30 days. With fresh Happy Frog amended at the beginning of flower, it can take plants through flower depending upon the strain. You can also add a tablespoon per week if you choose.

Another tip for DE amendment is to wait for the surface of the soil to become dry and use a small flour sifter to get a uniform coverage. The reason is that DE will clump easily.
For your future grows amend before growing. I use FFHF soil and always amend fresh soil with 1/4 cup per gallon of soil.

Think I'd be okay just mixing my top dress with the DE in with some of my soil before applying?

Oh boy, just read 7 days worth of this thread. I must say, this grow is going great despite the hiccups!!!
I do to love to grow as many as I can, but I've noticed you can't do good for all those cultivars and some will show deficiencies because of that. Not to worry, you're doing great!!

Thanks Bob! :d5: Yeah I'm starting to realize the same. If I was a bit better and had more runs with this method I might have caught some of the issues quicker but with so many plants it makes it hard to diagnose general issues like I've had. It's the best way for me to learn though. Don't really learn much when everything goes to plan exactly lol.

That being said I'll probably double up on cultivars so I don't have so many different ones next time and it's a bit easier.

I had some success with using BaS 3.0 cut 25% with Roots O. Got 1.5 decent runs out of same pot. 2nd petered out. YMMV, etc.

Hey thanks man! In addition to the 4-8-4 I picked up some of the DTE blood meal, kelp meal, and now dolomite lime. So it you do go that route I'd recommend at least that just to deal with any deficiencies that pop up. I can't say I've used that living soil before but I'm heading in that direction myself as well. I think ultimately mixing up your own super soil is the way to go, you could buy it too but if you mix it yourself you have the advantage of being able to adjust as needed. Plus you'll need some type of admix for it so just top dressing with your super soil admix seems to be what most people do from what I can tell.
