Photoperiod Damien's Zamadelica x Kali China SOG

Green machine going strong it appears! Nice bounce back

Thanks! She is a hardy plant in unskilled hands.

I'll tell you this since I can't get it recorded. I've chopped several mothers plants that refused to recover. I cracked several of their stems to find them hollowed with black insects crawling inside them. Scared the fuck out of me!

Dead mothers were breeding grounds. What a sad tale to have to tell...

Yikes! That sounds bad. From the new plants healthy growth you've got it all cleaned up?

I have the Extrema mother that survived and the Bangi Congo x Panama mothers. Everything else is getting cut down, I'll go to my friend's and get healthy cuts of my stuff back later.

I'm soaking all my stuff in BT, I've run gallons of peroxide through, and I'm recharging everything. Otherwise I'm going to have to sterilize all the media.

And idea what the bugs were?? That sounds gnarly them inside the stems n shit! :yoinks:

I *think* they are fungus gnats, the ones in the stems didn't fly. Maybe they never had time to learn while they were eating my roots. Life is so short.

Day 7 - flower
Had a visitor, most thankful to the Canna gods, coming to eat my problems away. I was not aware that lady bugs were carnivores exclusively. The peroxide solution did not work with a dilution, I used it undiluted. The medium fizzled and fizzled and my mother Extrema plant is still alive and no more gnats or larvae so far.

I was able to grab eight cuts that dipped in Rhizopon and fingers crossed. Beautiful cuts that branched off from the bottom. Recalibrated my ph meter to discover I was feeding in at a 5.1 - added silica to raise the ph by .7 and the EC by .1. Increased the amount of BTI just in case.

Really fond of the work it takes to maintain several stages of growth in intervals with SOG. Learned so much cloning, keeping mothers, and growing the same cuts repeatedly.

So many environmental factors can change the way one cut taste, smells, and performs. Not defoliating but rather managing my entire environment more efficiently has really proven effective. Environment really is everything.

Day 10 - flower
Ordered beneficial nematodes for my two remaining mothers and whatever else can get it

Preflowers on every cut and maybe the stretching has stopped. I don't really know. Fingers crossed for 28g x per plant
