Cutting Edge Cloning: Tissue Culture Propagation

If it works could you tell us your progress? I could see all kinds of possibilities. " Hey Bud, you gotta leaf I can borrow?'. So much easier to clear one leaf of bugs, etc than an entire clone.

Oh, for sure! Thats why I created this thread. This is how the smart, commercial growers do it. You could grow 10,000 clones in a closet!

And I am VERY much hoping this will work with auto flowers, it would be a HUGE game changer!

Nice im planning on trying out some similar tests just waiting on the materials

@pop22 So what all did you learn? I briefly looked at this a couple years ago and it is a great way forward in the evolution of cloning. Back then there was not a lot available on the consumer level. I don't mind making seeds but it would be nice to clone certain traits.

sorry everyone! I've had so much going on, this thread slipped by me. All tubes failed but I had suspected they would after I did them. I made an error in my sterile procedure and they all where contaiminated. Going to start another round today. I'll post better pic this time also.

Stay tuned!

Any updates on this? We're building a small TC lab at our R&D facility expressly addressing this research question, as it has been something I've hoped would be possible for the last 10 years or so (since discovering autos). What we have identified is that shoot propagation using TC methods will not alter the auto "clock" and simply leads to the same outcome as traditional cloning. We are now exploring callus formation, but ... time will tell.
