Hey guy. Got a question here for the ones who savvy with electric consumption because I'm fucking clueless haha.

I'm going on holidays in about three and I wanna keep my grow going while I'm away. This isn't ideal but a needs must ya know? I'm thinking of getting surge protectors to use on the ballasts and I'm wondering is this safe too do because of the obvious consumption and the fact I'll be using a timer.

So it will plugged into the wall like this;

Ballast plug into timer into surge protector.

I'll be using two digital ballasts dimmed down to 400 w.

Cheers
maybe, grid plugs into surge box, then goes to timer and balasts. After rereading your post I see you got it
cheers!, have a fun trip!

@Jraven , check out Shelter Systems GrowDome, I had the 20 footer in the mountain camp years ago. Gonna do what I need to do get one! Creates a plant friendly grow space, 10' head room, unlimited venting, light portable strong. Oh yeah, 90% light transmission!
I've picked up some clear acrylic sheet (like plexiglass) for a planned greenhouse. To get the most sun I'm squeezing it in to a fairly narrow area
