Alien Dragon from @GoAuto6 . This is my first grow at our new house and I'm trying to dial in our water (it's freakin' AWFUL, almost 800 ppm out of the tap.) Been using dehumidifier water instead in the meantime (extremely low ppm, like double digits.) We have really heavy manganese or something in the water here, there's a brown film on standing water and we even have to wash our clothes with a certain type of detergent lol.

Egads that sounds a bit of a challenge.
Will you be setting up an RO system or a standard water filter?
Have you had the water tested yet?
I look forward to seeing updates , i've not tried GoAuto6 gear yet but it is on my list of things to try.
Any recommendations on one of his strains to try?

What is it with chefs haha .....35 yrs a chef .....15 yrs as a chef de parttttyyyyy.....20 yrs serious lol.....spent the last 10 on the rigs ......cant get used to the lack of money these days ........ive had many adventures myself ....my experience of that free scene was while living in portsmouth where they ran free buses to protest at twyford down around 93/4.......but all started 87 .......it really was the yr it kicked off........

You should be able to get an off the shelf iron/manganese filter cartridge...

Yeah we'll be getting an RO system. I'm going to be growing outdoors here next summer so I'll be needing a good system; was looking at investing into a 400 GPD system with a neighbor. We haven't had the water tested; the city gave us pamphlets on "what's wrong" with it (to give you an idea of the known issues lol.)

I believe there is a Mephisto grow off competition starting 1st of September.
Best person i know to ask is @budelee he should be able to shine some light on the details as he is entering it.
@1939bear is also another good person to ask.
one way or another one of these guys should be able to set your straight about the details!

Sounds like a plan and hopefully it will take some of the hassle and guess work out of it!

Saying stuff like that will surely yank @budelee chain but he's at school right now but i reckon he'll have something to say later.

@WeedSmokerEire was asking about it and i was unable to give him any details.
