When I was a lad the only form of fertilizer was horse manure . My dad used to take great delight in having my brother or I out into the streets picking up manure after the dairy or bakery wagons passed by the house on there way back to the barn .
Does the second plant have a leaf mutation ? I forget what it's called but I read a article on leaf structure and heard that when the leaf blades combine as one leaf it increases the productivity of that leaf. Also not to mention that it makes the plant totally stealth not having traditional pointed leaves
