All the trouble you guys go through. Sometimes it baffles me. I'll never go there. All the fussing...it's just for my own use so I keep it small and simple. Hahaha!

It's all personal preference, for me, I like being involved and mixing this and that. I mean the individuals I grow for could give a shit less about strain names, let alone whether it's organic or not. I like providing the best possible product though and in the end the difference is very clear..I like what I do.

if its gone tyhat long with no problems, then don't worry, your fine!

Well..... It won't dry out lol. It's my hybrid hempy dwc mad house. So the roots wick the soil very moist. Have not put a drop of water in the soil in several weeks.

I could top it though. With growstones and dry dry soil
Could even remove that layer and replace with dry. Just afraid of disturbing the spores.

Was thinking about a spray to kill it if it needed to die.

usually darker colored mold in soil is a bad thing. the more there is the worse it is for your soil. white or cream color or a beige or something like that is fine and what you want really.
That's what I'm seeing. Cream beige and light to white.
Nothing dark or black. Or slimey. Or multi colored.

It's tied down so far I hardly look at the soil. Just happened to.
So. I guess that's a good point. It's clearly established and not hurting my plant. So probably fine. Appreciate you jumping on for the help

Simple is the key to stress free gardening! I just walked out to my greenhouse. Went in, looked around checked the budding plants and left. The only thing "complex" in my greenhouse is the water timer for the drip system. Now indoors I use auto pots. Not as simple as hand watering but not far from it, 2 moving parts in the valve that barely move, they'll never wear out. takes 2 minutes of maintenance a month flushing the lines as a preventative measure. All low maintenance, low stress.

I wish I could do another DWC grow, but if I did, I'd probably start drinking... the one time was enough for me! When I wasn't fussing with ph and nutrients and water temp, I was worrying about ph and water temp and nutrient strength............Garrrrgh...lol! Kudos to those who enjoy it though!

I used to be the simplest grower possible....toss in 3 wheelbarrows of horse manure a cup of lime per photo plant...top them at 8 nodes and reap the harvest in the fall! Then i started to up my game with some complexity(full flower feed schedule, training), and results now are excellent.
