@AussieStoner some people typically go for a month veg, I'd usually go for size and expect the plant to at least double. Also depends on the way you grow. Some people like few big plants when others go for sog type grows. I think 12 inches is good then flip. That's me personally. Good luck with whatever you decide. May the grow gods bless you...
man im bored like. so bored i may even look for a job.... maybe... probably not haha naaaaahhh. in the mean time while my tents empty here is my now favourite way to germ seeds. 5/5 so far, the other 4 were weed. just put the seed into a root riot.
upside down pint glass over it and half arsedly seal round the bottom with some tinfoil to make it look scientific. leave em on the window ledge and ouiala : ) no fannying about ph'ing purified water,or using any water fir that matter, no risking damage by using the wet paper/baggie method, no over complicating it. just plant and ignore : ) that strange looking weed plant is actually a moruga scorpion chilli. first time growing chillis too so excited about this : ) shell be sharing a living space in my water garden with the girls for the first wee while,
so she may pop in now n again untill she goes outside : )
Good evening/morning/afternoon/night AFN worldwide personified!
Couple weeks left on an un-journaled Auto Euphoria.
I hope everyone is having great results in the garden!
The Fungus gnats are a nuisance. Their eggs hatch into larvae that can ruin your plants by eating roots. Especially young sprouts. Attack in two ways, Mosquito dunks. The "Bits" Derek mentions. They are sold in the big box home stores. They are loaded with nematodes that eat the larvae. Just soak a quarter piece in water and pour a generous amount into each container.
Second is a form of birth control. The tiny gnats hide their eggs under anything in the soil. They do not dig. A thin topping of a fine sand or Diatomaceous earth gives them no place to hide them so they move on.
Good luck.
I'm pretty sure they add this stuff to most soils now...Diatomaceous earth was either budelee or stepside that told me about this stuff I think, them nematodes are great for the lawn too...
now.... hey peoples!!! how's everyone?
I'm getting sick of this .... wake up go to take shower.... no hot water.. check the tank... the blowers blown.. another expense ...
irony is... the fortune cookie last night said this year would bring me great news .... well, I'm waiting
and @EvilScotsman I'm digging that rig .. with the foils... choice!
hi troops i asked this last week but forgot to take note of the reccomendations. need to get a vent system and carbon filter for a 2mx1m tent. ive looked on amazon but 70 quid for a full set up isnt exactly filling me with confidence. my current one is brandless and bought with the tent so dont know what it is. ive got about 300 quid to spare for it. anyone got any suggestions for me? : )
I started with a 4" filter and fan in a 3x3 room and it didn't do it then I got a ventech 6x20 filter and 6" fan and its doing good. It's a little big but works good...no smell.
