I think the same is true for a lot of "traditional" medicines. We tend to miss the larger picture when isolating compounds. Consider the fact that it's better for you to get vitamins from their natural source than from supplements. This alone demonstrates that the single chemical alone is not solely responsible for the benefits. There's more to vitamin C than a molecule of citric acid.
Dude! I use that analogy all the time. For years, and people still think I don't know what I'm talking about, crazy, or both. People really piss me off sometimes. But you are 100% correct. An unfortunate side effect of the scientific revolution, in science we tend to think that the last proven answer is THE correct answer it just becomes the way it is..... Well to hell with that mental cronyism, it's obvious that ascorbic acid (vit c) is not useful without what it is in relation to. Yet here we are with bloody gluten free adkins approved micro managed villian of the week chemical diets.
I do that too, wonder what I can use of "normal" items to re-purpose in the tent. This week's one is a cat litter tray which will be my new Autopot tray. It's a new litter tray though, bought for its dimensions.
Oh, if anyone's interested, chopped Pandora yesterday and got 210g wet, trimmed and broken down into individual buds and into paper bags. Although no monster colas, plenty buds denser than a 20th generation hillbilly and a greater level of learning achieved.
