You are absolutely on to something....

If you've made the tincture with everclear, or some other very pure ethanol, you can boil it down to REALLY concentrate the goods. Soaking leaf in that and letting it dry will probably infuse it with some serious kick. Shouldn't impart any taste other than the heavier than usual goodies.

The first time I tried it was 1980-ish, desperately dry and only in possession of low quality leaf. Inspired by a high times ad promising "shit-to-gold" I took half the leaf, extracted it in ISO and soaked it into the other half of the leaf. It smelled like low quality green oil so I added a couple drops of aftershave to the extract. Big mistake. It smelled nice, tasted awful, and was only twice as strong as the leafy weed was.

This time the desperation was to use up too much weed! Times have changed. The tincture was everclear and a blend of bud. I had already reduced it quite a bit and it was stored quite a while before the experiment which I am sure added to its potency.
