Anyway, morning all

Plant fine, weather fine, I'm hurting.

On the plus side today is the start of the "Putse Kermis", a "little" carnival that covers the main street of a nearby town that straddles the Dutch/Belgian border, about a mile of the usual sideshows and people trying to sell you stuff. Usually at the, to me, far end, there's a bit of a flea market so hopefully I can pick up something I'll find useful at a price I like. Plus there will be the joys of showing the locals how well I can fire off air rifles whilst being half pissed because I know two of my favourite local microbreweries will have their stands there.

On the minus side it's local election day, so I have to go through that bullshit as voting is mandatory here. Hopefully we'll get change this time round because I'm sick of the liberals pissing money away on vanity projects whilst the footpaths are as smooth as the surface of the moon and are a nightmare when, like me, you're unsteady on your feet and have to use crutches all the time. And it's worse in a wheelchair because the sidewalks just go off at weird angles for no reason. Unfortunately, nobody is offering to legalise weed but it would take more than that for me to vote Socialist, Liberal, Watermelon or "The Party Formerly Known As The Vlaamse Bloc" far right wankers.

So that's the plans for today. Beer and something vaguely resembling "big scary GUNS", with the chance of some cheap original Playstation stuff. It's gonna be fun.

An interesting outcome of my change in BP medicine is that my hypertension seems to be somewhat under control.

A not so interesting outcome is that now it is rather low, not dangerously so, but enough that I feel constantly exhausted. I'm going to skip the medicine tomorrow, and hopefully it comes up a little (never thought I would say that). But for now it's a challenge just keeping me eyes open.

Off to sleep I go. Talk to you all tomorrow, if I can get out of bed.

Give it a couple of days for things to settle, it's possible there's still the effect of the "old" meds interacting with the new ones so things go a bit lower than they should.

Uncomfortable, annoying, and frustrating, definitely, but once the "old" ones get out of your system I would guess things will stabilise but I wouldn't start skipping doses as that could cause more harm than good.

That is assuming it's not been 2 weeks since the "change", of course, as if it has been then the dose is too high and you best talk to doc sharpish about reducing the dose.

This was an addition to my current regimen. This pill is a combination of Lisinopril and HCTZ. Fortunately, I kept hold of the original pills (just lisinopril), and will fall back to those starting next dose. Will be ringing up the doc first thing Monday morn.

What can be better on a rainy Sunday morning in the UK than some Floyd?
