Leccy prices over here are ridiculous, but thankfully both me and the missus are disabled so we get a tariff that's capped at around 50%, or less, than the "normal" price. But even then prices still go upwards as the generating costs go up and we get hit for paying subsidies for people putting up things like solar panels, and it's these subsidies I am totally against as if someone has the money to pay for that then why should someone like me, on a strictly limited income, pay for these people to save themselves money? And why should these pig ugly wind turbines be subsidised so big business can make money from them when other businesses fail because they don't get the same concessions?
I ain't no "socialist" or "liberal", far from it as I am one who believes the mantra that everything has a cost and nobody should be excused from that cost, so when I see so-called "green energy" taking so much from everyone because it's not financially viable then my blood boils, simply because had there been the same research and investment in cleaning up "traditional" and "nuke" power generation then we wouldn't have the absolute snake oil scam called "green energy". There are so many other options, but they get kicked aside because a minority can shout louder than the rational, and that is never a proper, long-term, solution.
Bag weed is $100 a q and appalling... I can't put into words just how bad the Canna scene is here.. just have to ignore it it's so messed up.

A great idea until "Government" realises that it's going to lose revenue and then invents a way to tax you on something that costs them nothing, or puts so many restrictions in the way it makes the concept non viable.

Oh, I'm going to apologise in advance for anything I say that may be "harsh" as pain levels are up around Venus today, and that means I'm going to be a seriously cranky old bugger. One shall do one's best not to unleash the beast, as the good natured nutters and their good vibes here do help considerably in distracting me so help with pain management, but there is a chance that will not be possible so please be aware that it is nothing personal and is just me being so frustrated and not being able to hide what is going on with my twisted sense of humour.
