Yeah i bet there would be quite a bit to do to prepare each season!!

Some times a lot..one year had to re-power the boat two weeks before the season opened. That tends to take a lot longer out here in the boonies. I took a lot longer than two weeks

@Samwell...honestly much of the northern land in canada is cheaper than what i am seeing on this site in Alaska...i bet if you dug deep though you would find something awesome

I'm still a long long way out from anything like that becoming a reality, my wife is very committed to being around her family.

I do enjoy learning about others experience and if the time ever came for me to do something of the sort I would at least have an idea of what it takes.
