I'm actually about 5 minutes away from putting 2 new seeds on paper towels. If there's something a lot better, I'll hold off a day or so until I can get my hands on it.

How come we shouldn't use Jiffy plugs to start seeds? I'm pretty well done with my first grow, and that's what I used. I certainly didn't do it right, but it turned out okay. Also, if not those - what should I get?

If it works for you keep on doing it . I have used them before as well . The person who suggested not using them is a breeder and I have to listen and ask . Her concern was that they have been treated chemically and as a result are a hazard to your seedlings .

last year i planted 15 chilli plants,i got 21 chillies total
plugs can work,can also give a lot of issues.nothing is better,cheaper to.

If you've had success pal using them you should carry on

Lots of ways to skin a rabbit same with germing,,, find what works for you and stick too it simples

Haha just because it worked doesn't mean it couldn't have worked a lot better! Then again, I can't blame any issues early on in this grow on Jiffy Pellets. It isn't their fault I overwatered and didn't know what I was doing!

But right on, if they're not terrible, I think I'll definitely do better with them this time around.

Try Grodan plugs but make sure you follow their instructions Theres a number of ways to go find the one your comfortable with and go with it .

Nothing? Just sticking seedlings in hydroton makes me nervous (I'm DWCing). I took 2 of my seedlings out of the plugs and dropped them in the hydroton, though, because I had been overwatering in the plugs.
