for me...there is a fine line between nothing in the cupboard(not even looking) and me doing too much (spending more than 5 mins a day) in the cupboard.to much either way can be a bad thing for the plants.
:pighug:

Last summer I planted some wildflowers . I threw the seed on the ground ,kicked some dirt over them and the only time they got watered was when it rained . They grew beautifully . Did I learn anything ?? Naw .

Good Morning A.F.N.
It's been said that we don't learn from our mistakes that what we learn is how to make mistakes . In my case this seems to be true. I have for my last 3 grows, thinking that I am doing the right thing have started my seedlings in a humidity dome . Little did I know that this can lead to " damping off " Not only was I leaving my seedling in harms way but I compounded the matter by putting an heating blanket under them which did of course increase the amount of humidity in the dome . I was also advised not to use Jiffy plugs to start cannabis seeds but for whatever reasons insist on using them . I must confess that I didn't discover this on my own but found this information on Mandala's web site which I might add has a lot of useful information available in a very straight forward way . Their method of paying may be a little unorthodox and they only breed photos and they don't answer their emails very promptly but I get the feeling their excellent breeders with some very good products .
So back to the drawing board with another expensive learning experience with the hope of better things ahead . :toke:

How come we shouldn't use Jiffy plugs to start seeds? I'm pretty well done with my first grow, and that's what I used. I certainly didn't do it right, but it turned out okay. Also, if not those - what should I get?

Thanks!

I have always had the feeling that when I walked in the door of AFN that there was more than met the eye than just growing weed and for the most part for me at least it's true . Without getting all squishy growing weed is a great way to learn about oneself .
