I bring this up now and then to younger people less we/they forget Waria. Your Dad still served if it was not for the medical corp my dad would have been dead simple as that. He was shot up by a tiger tank he was a brengun carrier operator. The took a shell right up the middle the guy who was with him was killed instantly my dad was thrown at least thirty feet in the air shot and wounded badly they dragged him back to safety. Oh my goodness! I'd never have believed they were pitcher plant flowers! And I've just seen that it's hardy too - wonder if it would survive a UK winter? Not that I need any more plants to look after right now, but they are something else. Thanks so much for sharing!

They are native to the Southeast US, swamp plants! They can take a freeze, but not too hard or for long,... I move mine into the garage during hardest cold,...Winter I cut them back to nearly nothing,.. the rhizome is a lot like ginger, runs just below the surface, and breaks easy,.. propagation is a snap! You could grow these out your way, full Sun, decent RH%,.. I live in coastal central CA, just on the edge of what they will take for low RH% during Fall,.. they are after all, swampies!
