I imagine it was legislated as a way to protect the commercial growers from devaluation in the market. Perhaps a personal grow license (that affords stiff fines for selling as an unlicensed distributor) would solve that. But this is the government we're talking about here.

Pretty damn awesome!!! any additives with the megacrop?...and care to share your feeding schedule for stages of grow? also, who are the girls?. what mix of sativa/indica are they?. I ask the last question because I would like to know if sativa vs. indica plays a roll on how much strength they can handle.
So the water out in Vegas is some hard, hard water. Unfortunately, I won't be able to grow cannabis out there due to their stupid "have to live more than 25 miles from an open dispensary" rule. But I'm thinking I might try to take advantage of the desert sun for a back yard pepper garden. Any suggestions on switching to working with hard water? I'm assuming the need for cal/mag supplements is MUCH less.
Hard to say... I just did a pretty agressive supercrop to keep the top out of the light. The budsites are starting to grow, but it has to be a few weeks at least before it's even close. I put some pics up on Sunday on the journal. And it's starting to put off a nice smell... overall it is farther along than my first grow was at this point, so maybe i'll get lucky and it will be done in less than a month.havnt lit it yet Mike
