warrant has been out for my arrest for the last 20 years...got caught with a 1.5 grams of hash while I was IN prison....seems instead of actually taking care of the charge while I was there, they would rather leave it dormant and hang it over my head so they can have one up on me for life....so yeah now my chance at ever growing legally is gone...fuck them

No you're not dude. Take care of it. What are you waiting for. Lawyer up, go clean, and move forward otherwise you're stuck in a time bubble. Before you do though, volunteer at the goodwill, Salvation Army, food bank, whatever. Courts LOVE people who've turned over a new leaf and do good work. Wait a few months, cut hair, shave, wear a suit, and show up with your lawyer. If you do, eventually you'll be licenced, otherwise, you never will.

Nothing worthwhile is easy. Nothing.
