Not quite there yet. Day 95 ugh!! Why can’t it hurry!!

I use UV in my spectrum....and to be honest i would not have it any other way!! To me the theory of UV sound right....and I have seen first hand the effect versus non UV spectrum lights!
what have you noticed? is it better crystal formation? increased growth or yield? general vigor?

I ask because all research on physiology I could find (and I looked hard) pointed towards cell damage and that over a certain saturation point it would accelerate leaf drop. It is not known what pigments are responsible for UVB absorbtion, and no known mechanism for it's use in photosynthesis. It's fascinating stuff though, I spent several days reading about it, and consulting my old plant professors.

So here is my observation.....i had several plants growing in early preflower. Some were under the UV lights and some were under the regular LED lights. The UV plants certainly had early crystal production. I noticed that all of the plants under the UV had earlier crystal production. I proceeded to move the plants and with 2 days the plants that were under the non UV lights had a noticable amount of crystal forming.
The theory - UV is harmful to the plants(and us as well!!) The plants response to harmful light is to add more light refraction which comes in the form of mushroom shaped trichomes to break up the harmful light. To me it makes total sense and even without scientific proof I have already seen the effect first hand.

Tapatalk is not the best place to view and use this forum I’ve found.... can’t see any of the voting stuff and can’t do much.. time to fix a laptop or two I suppose [emoji23]

Yes, I read about that, and I think that conversation is another science thread on site. I tried pretty hard to disprove it and could not. That is some pretty good recommendation for trying it. I have enough data to present for a study if feel like doing it. I would love to test that in lab conditions.
