Guy's I have a problem with them fabric pots (smart pots & similar) the issue is they seem to attract gnats, the only time I ever had/have gnat issues is using them pots.. so take that under consideration... coz they a real bitch to get rid of...:pass: If ya think about it they are perfect for them little bastards to lay eggs, the fabric material gets damp, perfect nightmare conditions for them pests!

Your having a rough run there.
If I get an infestation of gnats, I take it as a sign the media is too wet. It is time to ease up on the water.
To treat them I put a layer of coarse sand over the soil about 25mm thick. The sand will break their breeding cycle. Touch wood I have not had them come through the fabric.
Could your sick plant have been overwatered early on?

Maybe you are picking the wrong variety for you....?
Hey There Mossy, am glad ya liked how the 1st Duurty Magic come out.. The first was taken about 20% amber rest cloudy & clear.. the 2nd will probably have a bit more amber maybe 25-30%... Yes I have certainly taking a few tests, I have to say the taste is super enjoyable the effect getting better, even after half day of starting to cure.. It almost seems have like a sweet & hashy flavor on exhale, there also a little tartness in there, which makes it even better..I think in couple more days the effect will intensify alot..

naaa, they were not over-watered... there were gnats outside when I started this grow I know where they come from, that's not the issue here at all... everyone still missing the point, the Gnats are only on "Outside" of the fabric pot, not in the coco, not on the plants and only that one fabric pot..it's not the coco I'm having an issue with I said that many times, it's the fabric pots the coco is in....:pop:

My last smart pot will be coming out in a few days at most, I'll be willing bet everything... I will no longer see them after that pot leaves the tent..it's the only one I even see them on, like I said I been treating ever since I notice, to no aval... but the plant finished, just letting plain water run through a couple days while she ripens bit more.

It's a shame the fabric pots aren't working for you. I love them. I would not go back to plastic pots. The root development is far superior in a fabric pot against a plastic pot.
If you have soggy bottoms you are overwatering.

that plant is at the end of it's life anyways, I was only mentioning about this...because someone asked what I thought about them... well what I think is they are a breeding ground for gnats, that's all I been trying to say here :smokeout::hookah::smokeout:

well, I beg to differ about that.. My biggest plants are in nursery pots, so I guess depends on grower also..

If the gnats are being attracted to the fabric bag, could the bag be off gassing some residue left over from manufacturing.
I wash all my new bags before use just to be sure.
