Getting a good stash I see. Can you just hang them whole?
No hanging whole. Cold temps makes processing less of a rush. I'll cut up into big pieces, hind legs/rump, front legs shoulder, back/ribs/neck. I leave the hide on to slow the freezing and prevent some "freezer burn". I'll be cutting and hanging some in the cabin for dry meat real soon.

thanks matey! hopefully your tag will be enough! and to everyone else....

basically ive only ever grown autos...done a fair few runs now, tried red poisons (1st grow so went bad), blue kush (went much much better) then i did 3 bears og and orange cracks, then some chemdogging and stilton specials and a NCH....but ive always been disappointed with the taste and smell from the buds after they have been grown usually waiting till i get some amber heads as i prefer cloudy, i wet trim then dry them slowly for 7-10 days and cured for a month or two...they havent shown any deficiencies apart from a few little ones apart from my first couple of grows...i did have to flush at 4/5 weeks due to calcium/salt build ups due to my shocking tap water...i grow with organic nutrients so they would then take a while to build up after this flush but they have never shown deficiencies after this point....

but i did a photoperiod grow, and the smell and taste of these buds are just on another level...blew any autos ive done out the water...i mean the autos did the job and were a good smoke but they dont have that same smell taste and appeal as the photos...i did switch to using RO water and supplementing with cal/mag which may have made all the difference for this grow as the photos didnt require a flush which would wash anything beneficial out of the soil...but im after someone who grows photos and autos to give me a clear answer on photos vs autos...and will my autos always have that same woody, hay like smell and not have much taste when compared to the photo periods?

Wet trim. May be issue.

My nugs taste great. Only had hay smells wet trimming and bad drying/curing.

Wet trim does it for me everytime.

Trichs are very very fragile during chop.
Need to dry a bit and shell up before you trim.
If not. They chlorophyll can leak into the trichs and cause them to forever taste hay like.

they should of died from me constantly spraying them too, but they don't seem too.. like I said it was just them two fabric pots I was even having issue with... This stuff I'm using I usually have great luck with it, I rarely ever need to actually use it... am not sure what it is about them that, just makes it so hard to rid them once they infested.. it's good they can't feed on my plants, that would be like them trying eat cement, since I feed silica to them..
I’m telling you bro. I use mosquito bits. It’s a chopped up form of mosquito dunks. They dissolve with water & the chemical in it is extremely deadly to all mosquito & gnat breeds & non harmful to plants, animals, & people.

The active ingredient in Mosquito Dunks is Bacillus thuringi- ensis subspecies israelensis. (B.t.i.). B.t.i. is a bacterium that is deadly to mosquito larvae but harmless to other living things. Stuff works bro. I wouldn’t be riding it’s nuts if it didn’t. I had real similar prob with my fabric pots until I was introduced to this stuff.

I havnt grown photos, but I been smoking them all my life. I have now done side by side tests with two folks who had some killer photo buds and mine were more potent, and just as tasty. In fact one of the comments about the autos was how the taste was present even after the first two green hits. I think it is going to vary a lot between growers and strains but there is no loss of quality in an auto. It is 99% the same genetically anyway.

i'm not really worried bro, I said it was that one fabric pot only, which will be out before end of week, then within 2-3 days I'll be done seeing them for good! By time I bought that stuff the plant will already be down.or before it had a chance to even work.

yea see this is what i dont get...why when ive wet trimmed and dried exactly the same do my photo period buds STINK on 2 different occasions...i grew some caliconnect cookies and hso blue dream with a deep cheese and honeysuckle freebies...all came out humming and taste lovely after a week or two cure...given the autos months and no different...im a bit lost myself! ive decided to do another auto run (well put 9 seeds into germinate last night) so gonna see if it was my growing beforehand or if it is just autos...i only ask as everyone seems to rave about how tasty and smelly their auto buds are!

yea i definitely think it was my growing or something...im 100% hoping they come out good this run as i like some of the strains with autos and i like the time frame of a lot of the indica strains...i think if im gonna grow an indica why not do it in 55-60 days rather than 80-90!
