New Grower couple off general questions about a indoor grow

all right where do I start what I have
# 24in x 24in x 64in tent
# 250 hps

my 1st question is would I go with 4 x 13l pot or 2 x 33l pots or just 1pot? I don't expect to get it perfect so im thinking 4 x 13l just to start off with.

i've grown indoors years ago and I used a mix of 60% perlite 40% vermiculite it worked well for me,
my question is would this mix be right for an auto?

Never done a soiless like that before. Maybe some peat moss in there or coco coir perhaps. I am partial to peat moss because ph is closer to a soil grow.

I'd say some of this depends on the genetics you plan to run as well... small single cola girls more &smaller buckets... bigger girls, less and bigger.... you'd only fit 1 of my NL autos from 00 seeds in a 2ft X 2ft. But maybe several plants that only get to 20 inches or so...
A good strain guide might help with plants per Sq meter

was looking at doing coco but as I said don't really wana try experimenting just yet as for getting the beans is the problem.
but I am open to try if someone is willing to walk me thur it, with mix ratios and fert feeding.

@Aussiebliss no matter what medium you decide to grow in we'll take you through it and find a grower that has a tried and tested schedule.

If you want to stick with perlite/vermiculite hempy buckets go for it brother.. i think @Gauge Steel and @Ash-a-Ton have run hempy recently.

4 13l pots will be real tight if the plants grow well. But you can always pull a couple worat case.
By the time your dialed in 1 big auto will fill the 2x2

Look @ the breaders websites, in the strain discription it should say something like 500 grams per meter sq, 8 plants per Sq meter.
2X2 is roughly half a sq meter so you could do 4. That's how I'd start till you kinda get a feel for it....

this was 18 years ago when I done this mix, I'm sure the game has changed a fair bit
im just getting to old to go chasing weed anymore had a look online and seen these autos strains and though why not

What's up bro! You've got a few different variables at play here.. I've never done soiless or hempy style.. But I do have a 2x2 tent that I veg in.. If I had your set up, I would start with one plant.. In the 13L pot. And scrog it..Two plants MAX.. And if I ran 2 plants, I'd go down to 2 gal pots. Autos I've seen and grown average around 2ft in height. Some even 3ft or taller.. So you can rum out of room quickly.

As for the mix, it shouldn't matter as far as autos are concerned. You will be providing all of the plants food sources so its really personal preference. I've seen journals on here with 100% perlite, 50% perlite/vermiculite ect. so its truly up to you!

You can also search "2×2" here on AFN and look through grow journals of others who regularly use 2x2 tents. You'll see how full a tent can get. Auto doesn mean small. Lol.. But yeah.. I'd go with two plants in the 13L pot, max. And use whichever blend or mix you are comfortable with!
