Copacabana

Hmm, well I'm sure we're looking forward to your harvest pics. Hope it's done enough for your liking. This strain wasn't a favorite of mine as you know, but your phenos look different and I'm sure they'll smoke different as well.

I've always had a lot of interest in the superautos, and I've had good success with Muay Thai, but I see there's been a number of grows this year having the plants go well beyond the 100 to 120 day window...kind of makes me wonder if Flash made some odd selections last year in their seed runs or what. Specifically, grows of Panama Lime and Purple Mazar, the Mazar not being a superauto, but acted like one somewhat, getting huge and not flowering at all quickly on time.

I've always had fun trying different breeders, and I've been a supporter of theirs based on my success, but seeing others have to wait 6 months...practically double the time it should...does not instill a lot of confidence in their brand. I still have a couple beans of the Thai and enjoy that strain, but I think I'm going to put off trying any others, at least for the time being. I don't know if you've considered contacting Flash through their website, but it seems they ought to be interested and concerned about feedback on experiences such as yours when the plants take this long...we're talking like an extra 2 months, that's just not cool in my mind, too big of a variance to be reasonable

Good morning Mediscrogs. I was just looking at the weather forecast, yikes! Rain, rain and more rain starting tomorrow. I'll get the Copas under a roof but I've got a photoperiod plant that still has a couple of weeks. I'll figure something out.

Flash seeds have always seemed to be controversial haven't they. I've had mixed experiences with their stuff but I seem to return because my first experience was very positive. I think he has some wonderful genetics hidden in his mass of other crap. I know many people say there is just too much good stuff elsewhere to mess with his products. This has been a fun and educational grow for me but I can see how it would frustrate lots of people.

I was interested in growing something very sativa and I guess that's what I got. I'm going to be moving very far south (19 degrees latitude) in the future and I'm trying to prepare by learning sativas. I'm interested in finding something that will grow well far south of here and in very humid conditions. I don't think the Copacabanas are the answer for me. I think the Copas are still being given away as freebies so hopefully some people can see this before they attempt to grow them.

I've started a vault of sativa seeds for my pilgrimage back to Hawaii with a bunch from Ace. In the meantime I'll be playing with autoflower sativas from Flash and others to learn what I can.

As for the Muay Thai, I'm still planning on going ahead with growing two next year. If they take as long as these Copas I'll be alright with it. Next up is trying to figure out the high from these sativas. I did try a bit a week or so ago but the plants have progressed lots since then so I'm not sure how accurate the portrayal was.

Still having fun!

Cool man, that's a very good attitude about it. I agree, there's some great genetics swimming in that pool, it's what's so puzzling when I see some plants aren't finishing on time. But yeah, I've had some KVS some years back and I really liked her, stoney stuff and classic flavor.

It's cool you mention Ace, I was thinking about maybe doing a 12 12 run sometime in the tent, grow some more exotic type stuff for fun. I'd like to try Zamaldelica maybe, and that Purple Haze x Malawi. Plus the other Central American stuff, Honduran, Panama, Guatemalan -- those are good highs I would think. Those would be good for your outdoor grows at the lower lattitudes, of course, but would be nice to find some good auto choices that will handle the humidity. Sounds like fun, man, if I run across anything like that in autos I'll let you know.

I believe people have had successful Zamaldelica indoor grows but I've also seen some giant outdoor plants. I'm looking forward to growing it some day.

I believe you enjoyed growing your Love potion, I've got some on the way from Reeferman (another controversial grower.) I've also got some of his Thai autoflower on the way. I'm thinking of trying to pollinate a Muay Thai some day.

As for Stitch's superautos, I'm still on the fence. I'm happy to be able to grow some sativas here at 45 degrees North but these Copas are currently at day 175! Here they are earlier in the month.

Awesomeness bro. We're getting rain and wind today where I am. Hope you're doing at least some harvesting now while the gettin's good.

Yeah, I'm going to pollinate some Muay Thai next summer. I want to preserve the sativa aspect, so I think the ticket is to get some Sour Lemon regs from the Portal, it's Super Lemon Haze auto x N.W.s SourD I believe, should be passing on a good, up lemon sativa high. I know Eyes grew some this year and had very good feedback on it. Seems like the right match to me.

Looking forward to all of this with our Muay Thai. Yes, lots of wind and rain up here as well.

No harvest yet. I thought hard about it but looking under the microscope tells me to wait if I can. The plants are under shelter and not showing any mold yet so I think I'll hold out for a bit.

The other day you mentioned you had some Kush Van Stitch that you liked. That got me to pull some out and try it.

I grew three little KVS indoors over the winter and was not too impressed with the plants. They seemed to be wispy little foxtailing autos that didn't want to thrive like the Sweet tooth I was growing alongside them.
Of course half the problem could be my setup. I've never invested in an indoor setup, just use flourescents and CFL. I did grow Stitch's Russian rocket fuel in the same set up previously and they did well so I figured it was mostly his KVS genetics.

For me the problem with Stitch is his lack of consistency. Like you were talking about in another thread, with autoflowers it can change from seed lot to seed lot. Depending on the breeder of course. I'm just so interested in some of his genetics.

I just smoked half a joint of the KVS that was harvested in May and enjoyed it. Nice flavor and a nice stone.

Hi squatty , I have grown Golden Tiger and Malawi at Lat 15 , found the Tiger easy to grow but Malawi harder mostly due to my lack of skill , both strains very strong high . I did ask Ace seeds if they will have either strain in auto and was told they are working on a auto Malawi for the near future , and I was interested in what both you guys said about Stitch seeds as I was thinking about getting some for a outdoor grow . Your big girls look awesome .

@hecno cool news there, an auto Malawi would be fun to try.

I hope you'll take whatever feedback on Flash with a grain of salt, mine never finished late and I'm sure there are more successful grows out there...maybe the late finishers are confined to just a couple of their strains--not enough data to know. I'm still thinking about emailing them just to see if they have a response.....:peace:

stich seeds ? maaan, last i saw him was a straight up thief last i saw, bad seeds not doing anything like they said, and stelling ppls money too. the highest order of scumbag last i saw that name.but again he could have wised up but unlikely.if you can get older stock like years ago those are good from what I have heard, but you'll have to ask about some more to find out. once name is tainted I steer WELL clear LOL beauties though, GAWD im so jealous of good OD seasons and conditions LOl soo lovely!

I'm not in the loop on all his history. I know he used to be a member here, but supposedly had some others doing the seed runs and the quality disappeared. I haven't heard much else about it, but if a lot of people got ripped and not made whole, then that truly sucks to hear.
