Indoor Copacabana, Muay Thai, Love Potion LED tent grow

Hi MediScrogs
That love potion sure did look beautiful.
Great plants you have there man.

Hey thanks G Reefer, it's been a good season here. I think the plants have looked good, still learning about the nutes and hope to do a better job next summer. Would like an earlier start next season.

I'll put up some more photos later today for an update.

Thanks for stopping by, bro, hope it's going well for you too.

Outdoor plants are coming along, I've started giving just ph water to the Copacabana and the Devil Cream for a couple days already, today is day 87 and 66 for them respectively. I did not see any immediate distress signals thrown up so I feel the timing is good for just watering now and I'll give 'em a good flush through sometime next week.

Here's the Devil Cream:

She's still got that nice sweet blueberries smell, I guess I was expecting her to smell a little spicier at the end but I love that sweet scent at the moment.

The Copa hasn't got much odor to her but the buds are getting stickier and I'm excited to see what the end product is like.
Here's the BedonkaDunk:

I'm really happy with her, she's yellowing out fans and looks healthy. Need stakes next time, branches are getting heavy.

None of the plants have had much problem with bugs this year, mostly keeping an eye out for rain, they go into the shed if I know it's coming. Nights are cool around 52* to 48* F and humidity is actually around 70% and higher from 9pm to 9am. Hopefully they will remain resistent to any rot but there's always that chance.

The Sour Bubbly is cookin' along but still a long ways out, I am hopeful to finish her out if weather allows, even a small harvest better than none and I do want a taste of her this year. I definitely plan on some more Mephisto plants next year !

Thanks again for all the kind words and interest :bong:

Your plants look great! I do think you should give the Muay Thai cal/mag using calcium and epsom salts is tricky.

And I'd like to suggest you switch to organic growing, it suits your style of growing. And you don't have to get fancy to do it either. I have a thread on basic organic soil. I'm using that mix right now, and I have the best organic plants I have ever grown! NO fancy mix or additives. No teas, no top dressings. RO water with Cal/Mag. There is not a spot on any of the 9. One is 43" tall, growing in a 1 gallon pot!

Thanks, Pop, that sounds really cool. I will delve into your thread later to learn more. Another grower is in the BOM comp this month with a soil mix and just adding water. Sounds like heaven to me, as it would be a big time saver. I feel the gardening has taken up more time than I wanted. I feel I would either need a solid organic mix or a drip system/autopot system to simplify watering. I'm inclined to try a good soil mix, actually. I will definitely look into what you're doing and check the other information that must be in the AFN organic section, I don't know much about organics other than trying some AN Iguana Juice once that was hotter than a pistol. I'd definitely like to learn more.

Also, you're right about the calcium/epsom, it seemed the plants went off kilter when I went that route. It was calcium chloride, which I understand is not ideal since the chlorine is not really needed much by the plants and becomes something of "unnecessary traffic" clogging the osmotic gradient. It was what I could find in my local area at the time, and I didn't know any better. About a week-10 days ago I found some GO calmag+ which is calcium carbonate based and seems to be working better. The Botanicare one was certainly working well, but the plants all seemed to reach a point of high Nitrogen due to exclusive use of the base 16-16-16 Sea Grow nutes at the beginning, which is what I found was recommended. If I use these nutes again, I would start out with a 50/50 mix of the base and the bloom to get a better ratio and avoid greening them out.

Thanks again for stopping in, Pop, and I appreciate your input very much. I'll definitely check out organic soils before I plan the next crop.

This is the start of a lengthy update, first here's Muay Thai:

She would be finishing her day 91 here.

As you can see, there's lots of colas piled up there. I had flushed her a couple weeks back because the ph had gone off. She seems to have continued doing well with nutes, but most branches the pistils are starting to turn color and I've been thinking she's ready to give up the food like the Copacabana, but when I do, the leaves go way off, looking hungry, so I've still been feeding and she looks good so long as I do that, thinking to try plain water again tomorrow (more on that below)

Well, so here is some bad news with the Thai Sticks -- I found a little bit of budrot today. I was surprised because I have fans blowing over and under her from both directions and good exhaust rh 45-50% etc etc but she really has been confined to fit the 2' (60cm) wide tent and there were a couple small problems on the backside of the tent edge where the branches are all squished up against the side of the tent, and where I didn't have good vision of the situation.

I had her out of the tent, saw and removed a few bad patches and some surrounding bud sites as well, trying to be careful not to spread the contamination, etc as has been said by many others.

I've sprayed her down with the actinovate product, which is a protective bacteria strain that will hopefully eat up any stray fungus. Will spray again tomorrow and tent will be cleaned as well, and I will check her over again to make sure that infected material is completely removed. There are some great colas on her and I have every intention of harvesting at least some but I do want to harvest them when they're ripe so they have a good medical effect for me.

Will be monitoring the situation daily here out and make sure I don't lose her all. It's been a tough row to hoe for her all contorted the way she is. I feel badly for her, and would like to try again with an earlier season putting her outside, she definitely seems to have that monster potential for an auto.

Sorry for the news on the Thai as I know several people have expressed as much interest in it as I have. I'll do my best to keep her clean and get her home.

In other news, here is the Sour Bubbly:

9.30 012.JPG

She's cranking along and don't expect any problems at this stage, weather is cooler so she's not going full speed.
She would be finishing day 71 here.

Here's the Devil Cream, same age. She's done really well through the grow and also slowing down with the weather but she looks like she's getting closer to a good finish. Also looking closely for rot, and pulling her in during any rain.
Nice smell looks like a decent yield. Plain watering for almost a week and flushed her out good a couple days ago.

Copacabana is doing very well, seems to like plain water and is starting to swell and build resin. Some pistils turning color but not en masse. Looks like a bumper crop.

Those are some great looking plants! Too bad about the Thai, I hope she pulls through for you.

Have you tried the Love Potion yet? I'm thinking of buying some seeds of this for the spring, and would love to hear your review.
