Ever since I heard that Dutch Passion were going to release some new Auto strains, I just couldn't wait to get my hands on some.

Think Big, Daiquiri Lime, Colorado Cookies, Blackberry Kush, Auto Night Queen....... all arrived stealth delivery via Seedsman.... impressive job.

As soon as I chopped my Blue Automazar from my previous grow, I had a bit of space in the tent, time to start again!

What to choose????

Straight off, it has to be AutoColorado Cookies..... a cross of a successful DP Autoblueberry with the legendary US strain Girl Scout Cookies. DP hoped to combine the potency and yield of the ABB with the (sweet tropical mango) taste of the GSC to give a flavoursome Indica dominant smoke with an XL yield.

Next I chose AutoDaiquiri Lime, again one that caught my eye the moment I heard the news. It's a cross of a sharp citrussy lime flavoured phenotype of DP California Orange and a resinous US Sour Diesel resulting in a Sativa dominant XXL harvest with a rich fruity/diesel aroma and a fresh sour taste.

Finally Auto Blackberry Kush, a hard hitting Indica dominant with an earthy but sweet fruity taste. The opportunity to grow an XL amount of sticky purple bud was impossible to resist!

I planted one of each in separate 5L airpots, with 100% Canna Coco Professional Plus soaked in an EC 0.7 nutrient solution (made up of EC 0.5 Base nutrient with 0.3ml/L Roots Excellurator and 0.1ml/L Nitrogen). I don't pre soak seeds, or leave them in wet tissue paper etc.... I just plant direct, cover with clingfilm and dark cardboard, and it works 100% of the time.

Seeds planted on 17th April, all 3 broke the surface of the Coco on 20th April..... day 1 on 420, that has to be a good omen?

day 1.JPG

As it turned out, the Blackberry still had her seed cover on, so after a bit of shaky arseing around, I managed to remove it along with one of the cotyledons. Born on 420, good omen.......
On the positive side I then booked an eye test and have been fitted with some multifocals :dizzy:.

I gave them a light watering on day 1, then left them for 5 days before watering again, the Coco was still slightly moist on the surface, so no need. The Lime and Cookie were neck and neck, and the Blackberry was understandably a little slow in starting off :rolleyes1:.

day 5.JPG

After day 5 I watered around the inner perimeter of the pot every couple of days. I used the same nute mix that I used to prepare the pots, so still EC 0.7, pH 5.8. Temps are in the 25-29C region, and the LEDs are on 24/0.

Here they are on day 11, starting with the Blackberry......
day 11 BBK.JPG

Next, the Cookie, looking very healthy.....
day 11 CC.JPG

and finally the Lime, I can see she's gonna be a big girl already!!

So I hope you can join me on this taste quest......... pull up a pew, skin up, and thanks for popping in!
:baked:

Whoa whoa whoa, you might be thinking, born on 420, but it's June????

I've been finishing my previous grow, where I produced a 4.1oz Blue Automazar, a 8.4oz Think Different and a massive 14.3oz Auto Ultimate.... plenty of bud for the next few months!

It's currently day 43, so I should brig you up yo speed, because I have another whopper on my hands!!!

Lets start with the Blackberry. Having accidentally removed one of her cotyledons, she's understandably a few days behind but otherwise perfect. Here she is on day 14.....
day 14 BBK.JPG

and again on day 19, you can see how well she has done in 5 days.....
day 19 BBK.JPG

The Cookie is looking very healthy. Here's day 14.....
day 14 CC2.JPG

and how much she has grown by day 19....
day 19 CC.JPG

Finally the Lime.... she is the largest of the 3. Here she is on day 14....
day 14 DL2.JPG

and again on day 19
day 19 DL 1.JPG

By day 34 that massive AU was finally down, I could concentrate on my new girls. I have been nipping the occasional fan leaf in an attempt to get better light penetration through to the deeper nodes and get plenty of side stem growth going on.

The Lime was just huge already at just over 70cm, but the Cookie was cooking nicely. The Blackberry was not far behind them, but she's obviously gonna be a smaller plant. All 3 have shown signs of flowering, so I decided to repot them from their 5L airpots into 20L ones.... something I've done a few times now in an effort to boost growth in the mid stage of the grow.

Here's how they were as a group on day 34..... BBK front right, CC front left and DL at the back....
day 34 group.JPG

.....to be continued......

It's day 43, but here's the Day 37 update........

It's just been 3 days since I repotted them, and already there's plenty of action. The Lime is just huge, and I've staked her and the Cookie out a bit to allow better light penetration. I am waiting for some replacement LED chips for my two Helios 2's, they will give the Lime some more photons for the sides.

I increased the feed strength by increasing the base nutes by 0.5mL/L, so the Bluelab still says EC1.1, but its nearly 1.2....... I wish they had a more accurate EC meter, an extra decimal place would be very useful.

Anyhow, here they are, the Lime at the back hides the Cookie in front left, and the smaller Blackberry is to the right.....
day 37 group.JPG

I raised the lights from 20" to take the photo

Here's a closer look at the girls, starting with the Blackberry.....
day 37 BB1.JPG

looking very healthy at 55cm, and my increase in feed strength has put an end to those pale green leaf edges......
day 37 BB2.JPG

I staked the Cookie out, and she's coming on nicely, standing at 60cm....
day 37 CC1.JPG

here she is from above...
day 37 CC2.JPG

Finally the Lime. She's got great potential, and now that I've staked her out a bit, she takes up the full tent width. She's a thirsty girl, putting away more than 3L a day. When I get those Helios 2's going either side, she will take off, she's already a metre high!
day 37 DL1.JPG

That's it for now, all up to date. I'll put up some more pics over the weekend, they've all stretched, so the tent is filling up fast!
Have a lovely evening, good growing karma to all!

Day 45

As promised, more pics, and all is good. The Lime is taking up the back half of the tent while the other two are fighting for what's left at the front. The Cookie is on the left, Blackberry on the right.....
day 46 group.JPG

The Blackberry has been this week's star, shooting up past the Cookie and is at 85cm. She's very Indica, with nice big fat leaves and although she has some good stout stems, there's nowhere near as many nodes developing. Here she is.....
day 46 BB1.JPG

I might have to remove some of those larger fans....
day 46 BB2.JPG

The Cookie is filling up with nodes, she is very bushy and 75cm tall, so I might also have to defoliate her a little to get some light into those bud sites......
day 46 CC1.JPG

Here she is from above....
day 46 CC2.JPG

The Lime is not being grown to it's full potential, she really needs more lighting as one Photon 126 is just not enough. Not much direct light is hitting the side stems. I'm waiting for spares to get my 2 Helios 2's going, and I might invest in a couple of Skyline LEDs. The other option is to get a new ballast and fire up the 600W HPS to cover the front two and use all the LEDs on the Lime.... hit her from all angles. It's officially winter here, so maybe I could make use of the drop in ambient temps over the next few months.
Nevertheless, she's developing well standing just over 120cm high. It wont be long till run out of space for the lighting!
day 46 DL1.JPG

The EC is 1.1, made up of base nutes A&B EC 0.9 with added Roots Excellurator, Multizyme, Cal Max, Algen Extract (Kelp) and Bud XL. pH 5.8-6.2
Temps are around 20-30C and lights are on 24/7.

Thanks for checking in, have a good one!

Damn fine growing buddy. I am currently growing out a daiquiri and Colorado outdoors(and 2X autoultimates and a Brooklyn Sunrise ), and they are both very strong growing plants. (though mine aren't nearly the monsters of yours!!)
Again damn fine growing bud...repping to the max. :D

@912GreenSkell cheers for the rep points mate, you're too kind about my monsters, I dunno how it happens, pure luck. You got the skills Bro!

Growing monsters a single time might be pure luck....but repeatedly growing monsters is more than luck my friend! ;)
Oh yeah...so I suppose I am not super far behind you!! :D
