Lighting Cobshop.net info, questions and answers

I’m very happy you own one now! Very nice light if I do say so myself lol. The 3500 cob does a great job start to finish. The veg end is definitely over the top in my opinion. If I were to add anything to the 3500k it would be a 2700 or 3000k. I plan to do this in my future grows for sure.
Not sure if I just missed it in the thread, but are you stocking those soon?
:yeahthat: Took the words right out of my mouth.

I’m saving them for myself.

Lol no if anyone here is interested just shoot me a message. I don’t have a lot but enough to make a few folks happy. I know if I put them on the site people will buy them out quick. Maybe I’ll do a an Afn only post

Never known me to hesitate. :smoking:I needed a couple 3500s for a friends new grow tent and I’ve been dying to try out adding an additional spectrum to the grow. So a four pack it is with a 2700 and 6500k and ordered. Slap on some of those pesky 10 foot cords and Hemi be a happy grower! :headbang:

Will be adding the 2700k to my current SCROG along with my other four AutoCobs as she has just getting into flower and should be an interesting experiment in a 3x3 tent.

Folks if you haven’t made up your mind yet on these, take the word of this cheap bastard these darn AutoCobs are so much better than any light I have ever used before. Cost, efficiency, great warranty, and direct access to the owner of the company, what the heck more could one ask for. Oh wait, he help me convert my two PlatinumLED P300s to COBs without hesitation also. Gee, I guess you can ask for more and @BigSm0 will try to deliver. This will make a total of eight AutoCobs for me and two of them are for a friend that I can’t stand to watch struggle with her Mars blurple led anymore.

How do you like the 2700? If you are familiar with hps this is the closest thing to it. It should be a flower beast
:crying: How do I like it, heck I just plugged it in 12 hours ago and it has been off for 11 of them. I got it just in time to plug it in before lights out. Which is good as I had to go to work and would not be around to check on how she was reacting to it, but still gave her an hour with the added photons. It looks pretty up there as a center piece.

I was wondering how I would know which was which until I plugged them in and saw the color. The 6500k, boy is it blue, I can tell by looking at the COB, the 2700k not as much. Going to take some lux readings later on and see how much it has increased. At 32 inches with four of the them turned on, the screen was averaging 20k lux, at the canopy at 26 inches I was seeing close to 25k lux. At 270w with all five on, I’m still using less than those 2 P300s at 364w.

Thanks for the fast delivery and great lights!

@BigSm0, I just wanted to let you know that I received my order. I am waiting to run your lights on a grow from beginning to end before I write the review. But I swapped out one autocob for the QB I was using to finish off my current grow. Unfortunately, it only has a week left or so.

I do have a quick question, though.

I have a 2' x 2.5' x 7' tent. I was running a 135 watt QB 288 V1 in there dimmed as far down as I could get it. At 32", I was seeing what I think was light stress on my plants. Right now, I have 1 autocob at 32". It seems like it is more than adequate light for the space. Do you think I could run 2 autocobs at that height in that space or would that be too much? I am going to run a test on some jalapenos starting next weekend after I harvest my gal, but I don't want to run into the same light stress issues.

Thanks for any light you might be able to shed on the subject. (Har dee har har...Thank you very much...I'm here all week. Don't forget to tip your waitstaff.)
