The non reflector Autocob White Widow passed the reflector Autocob White Widow in height yesterday. Maybe an inch or so higher. The reflector plant buds are still bigger by a fair bit. The reflector temp just above canopy is only 1 degree warmer than the non reflector. The thermometers with remote sensors that I am using for canopy temps have worked out very well indeed. It's great to be able to monitor tent temps while I am downstairs.

Excellent! I’m so happy you are doing this.

A lot of talk about coverage area above too. All my par readings inside a 24”x24” space were higher with reflectors. I don’t think it hurts coverage at all. Actually think it helps it.

Make that your next product. A par meter that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. I would love to own one, but there is always something a little more needed for my garden....... like autocobs.

Thanks for sharing this development. I used my reflectors earlier for about a week and a half and now I’m planning on putting them back into use for the remainder of my grow. I figure I have 4-5 weeks max left.

Thanks BigSm0, my two racks of three 35W COBs are doing great. And thanks for your help with designing and building the racks. Plants look very healthy, My energy consumption went from 900W (600W HPS and two 150W crappy LEDs) to 100W. Temps are down, so my exhaust fan can be run at low instead of high. With less heat, the plants require only about 1/3 to 1/2 the amount of water. The room is so much quieter. So many benefits.

I found running the racks at 70W too strong, and 50W perfect. These work great for my low ceiling, as I can keep the 35W COBs 8-12" above my plants.

Dropping by to give some numbers. 638g dry trimmed bud from a Sweet Seeds Mystery Mix of autos in the AutoCob tent. The smallest plant was the stunted mx1, a DDA, at 26g....I did say stunted. :haha:

The largest of the four was mx4 at a whopping 275g dry and trimmed.:woohoo:

@BigSm0 I can't say enough good things about your product. The AutoCobs rock ! :vibe:

That's for sure, 100W is waaaay less than 900W, so it's logical that your temps going down. But if you're experienced grower, I guess you get 0.8-1 grams per watt, so around 500-600 grams from 600W HPS. That is clearly impossible with only 100W COBs.

If I remember correctly you were running about 400 watts of AutoCOBs in that tent. Hmmmmmmmm, seems the math is looking real good. 638/400=1.595gpw. :d5:

Correct. Eight of them bright bastards. I didn't count the harvests from the hempys on the side either. I've got 6 more small plants in 2qt containers sitting on the floor that have yet to be chopped. :headbang:

Oh good, not happy with 1.595gpw. :weed: Now we hear there were additional ladies in the tent not counted. OK we will round it up to 1.6gpw. :smoking: Now get that barn cleaned up, stop diverting the local waterways, and get on that bike and ride. :crying:

If you ever get up my way you have to let me know and we will grab some grub, some brews, and some of the best local weed available. I don’t do the the whole biking across the US, but am always willing to travel anywhere to meet good people, good food. I do want to get out to Seattle this year to enjoy the scene there for a week or two. Sorry but someday the good folks at AFN are going to have to plan a big gathering somewhere discreet, like maybe Jamaica for their next cannabis cup. :jump:

I saw how you ran everything and the vision paired with your skill knocked it. It’s nearly impossible to run plants like you did at different heights and pull such good numbers with a big frame. Never mind with such low wattage.
