Lighting Cobshop.net info, questions and answers

@BigSm0 in small areas, are the reflectors necessary if flooding the area is what one is trying to accomplish? I'm fighting heat problems all the time and thought maybe removing my reflectors would possibly help. Thank Bro.

I personally don’t use reflectors at all. Even on my big almost complete frame that has the cobs driven at 35 watts each.

The math says it decreases total light by up to 10% but all my measurements say it increased the canopy ppfd by up to 50% this is across a 3x3 area which is well outside the coverage area of the Autocob.

Reflectors are ok on certain strains but my thought is the majority don’t like the extra light.
