Lighting Cobshop.net info, questions and answers

A member on the board referred me to your products. How does the heat of these things compare to the Epistar variety of lights ? Is it a lot hotter ? What are do you reccomend for me ? Here are my specs.

4 feet wide
2 feet deep
4 feet high

Flower , veg, or both? I can help while @BigSm0 is away. :d5:

For both sir. I appreciate the assistance

For veg and flower in that 2x4 I would recommend 3-4 COB's in the 4K or 3500K version whichever is available really. As for the heat issue I can put my hand on the driver of the autocobs and not have to take it off, can't say the same about the drivers that power other lights. Heat is a topic in itself and there are different theories and I am not trying to open a can of worms so please just bare with my "simple" explanation. I like simple, why I like these lights so much.

Hello divine and Thanks guys.

For the height I would actually recommend a little different approach and one I haven't mentioned live yet. I can run a dimmed down version of the AutoCob. In doing so you would need a third cob for the space. The AutoCob is 55watts, the one I can make special is a 40 watt and with 3 across the space for a total of 120 watts you would have a much more even intensity and super high efficiency light.

As for the heat you should not have any problems at all. Less than 50% heat at the heatsink vs 75% on an epistar brand led.

Whooweee! How's that beast turning out?

She's coming along...A few bumps in the road (My fault) as far as not adding enough of certain amendments to the used soil she was grown in..I carried her along though as soon as I seen some issues with Foxfarm Big Bloom..Right now she's at about day 86 from seed ( breeder notes say 85+ and 2 weeks extra for tighter nugs). Nugs are super hard already, no give to them when you gently squeeze and she stanks something fierce..I took a small popcorn sample I found right under the canopy a few days ago..Threw that in a cone and :holymoly:Super strong smoke, one good hit when I lit it and it hit right behind the eyes..snow white ash on it and it wouldn't die out lol very nice..At this point I'm just letting her fade out as you can see,and ride out her last 1.5 weeks..Just trying to squeeze all I can out of her before she's chopped..Cobs have been sitting at 20" for anyone interested.

Yes sir. Autocob is the no1 but I am doing a bunch of the almost complete and now selling cobs with holders. If you need anything specific feel free to give me a shout.
