Yeah im thinking that also, but he emailed me a week ago stating he would replace my bad light and ive asked a few times if its been shipped and I haven't gotten a response.

All good received my new light. Thanks for making good on this, but you should try to reply back to emails so it doesn't seem like you are ignoring customers.

Does the driver give off much heat?

Would remote mounting the driver run cooler?

I have an AutoCOB that is now blinking, about 2x/second. Any way I can fix this?

[This original (55 watt) AutoCOB has been used likely for over 5 years, mostly continuous. So in my view even if the light is now dead, it has provided incredible return/value, plus I have 7 others bought at the same time still serving as my main lights].

AutoCOBs shouldn't present any more of a heat problem than any alternative. They are rather efficient and competitive in this respect with most other lights, even many newer 'quantum boards' and LEDs.

One of the main benefits of AutoCOBs is that they are fully independent, integrated, self-contained light fixtures. You'd presumably have to take the units apart, move and wire-up each power supply/driver - seems a major hassle and self-defeating.

Otherwise,I presume most of the heat is from the COB, not from its power supply.
