I’m happy to see you back to it. Growing as you know is extremely rewarding in many ways. You’ll probably find that soil growing is a bit easier too.
As far as the tent goes I always tell people to go with the biggest tent you can afford and fit in your space. It will save you from a future upgrade and you don’t have to fill it to grow a good group of plants either. If you have a tent that’s becoming to short by rapidly growing plants there are loads of great tutorials on low stress training. I personally train my plants even when height isn’t an issue. During the initial grows it may be worth taking ppm numbers down. Not as much for measurement numbers for the feed but measurement numbers for future grows. You can always look back and see what you did and at what times.
There are a lot of growers that have a good greenleaf schedule down and could be a good starting point.
In my opinion I think Ph is important too. The input ph does affect the final Ph. Some growers, myself included have a higher input which works out to a perfect Ph when nutrients are added. I don’t have to adjust but you and others may need to. I hope this helps!
hey man could yyou link a greenleaf schedule for autos in light mix
? i cannot find 1 anywhere

How do we prevent bugs or fungus gnats in soil? I had gnats in my drop setup. Pissed me off. I decided to grow hydro before because I thought you couldn't get fungus gnats in hydro. Lol I was wrong.
I have dealt with gnats first ages. Tried just about everything too. I eventually used sand from Home Depot. Put a 2” layer on top of your pot and even on the bottom of it has holes. The gnats can’t get in to lay eggs and eat your roots. Besides that I did use one specific chemical but I wouldn’t recommend to the masses.

@Dabber has the one I’d follow. Not sure he will be back on for awhile though. I personally run 1/2 the recommended megacrop throughout the grow. I do also add calmag up until the preflower stage. Once preflowers show I start adding sweet candy. Basically 1/2 the recommended on everything.

nematodes work well for gnats in soil...and if you reuse your soil they will keep working ime as long as favorable conditions are present
@NorthernLights_420

about 12$ on amazon

I just crumbled mosquito dunks into my potting soil and cut the life cycle of the gnats. It's just a bacteria called BT that kills soft bodied larva, it has no effect on Humans or animals.

Anyone grow anything other than autos? Photo period plants (12/12 flowering cycle) using the auto cob? With coronavirus going on I might have a hard time ordering auto seeds. I'm in the USA in Michigan where it's legal and can get clones or seeds from grower friends. Wud I be able to grow a photoperiod plant under an auto cob or 2? Or only recommended with autoflowers?

Of course AutoCOBs will work with photo plants and not just autos. Here is a Sensi Seeds Super Skung that I SCROGed under autocobs and after it was done I revegged the same plant and flowered it a second time.
