I own 4 www.cobshop.net cobs at the moment and my current run is the first fulltime use for my cobs. I recently harvested a Mephisto "The White Train" and a Royal Queen "Royal AK". Those two plants far exceeded what I was hoping for. They absolutely loved the cobs. The whole grow those two were incredibly healthy. The healthiest plants I've had to this point in time. I began at 30" and then settled at 18" for duration of grow.

The No. Lights Blue and the Critical + don't like the cobs as much and have been problematic. They are small. Smaller than what I got off my traditional mass built led lights previously. I had to settle with 23" for those two. Harvest will be early next week and will still be fruitful.

There are certainly some cob learning curves, but I cannot imagine growing without cobs now. Lightweight, small, quiet, low heat, low electrical draw. I rarely use the word fabulous, but that is the word I will choose for the www.cobshop.net cobs, fabulous.

Choosing my man @BigSm0's autoCOBs was the best choice I could of possibly made for our project. I use 4 of them in a 3x3 and they've been nothing short of a miracle. The beauty of them truly unlocks when you take advantage of their adjustability to the benefit of your plants. On top of the phenomenal effiency & build quality - to me, there is NO other COB maker, I just deal with @BigSm0 always.

That being said, depending on your medium, Cal-Mag will BECOME your friend - due to faster transpiration rate of the LED's after week 5 you will have to pick up some of the Cal draw slack with it or use another amendment for your flower transition.

My next phase is getting another 2 autoCOBs for side & under canopy penetration only, really saturate the lower usually harder to reach flowers

Also, as a side note, after almost 3 months of 24/0 use x 4 autoCOBs, our light bill has not increased WHATSOEVER. I live in a very hot, humid state as is - this Fact alone is satisfying for choosing to take on his machines. Add the fact that it adds little heat to internal grow room temps & the super flexibility allows you to ADAPT to your day to day grow operations.

Forgot to relay that the Royal AK and The White Train finished in 9.5 weeks.
Just completed drying and jarring. The White Train more than 3.5 ounces. The Royal AK nearly 5 ounces.

Add: They were 5 gallon smart pots.

My second 100% cob run is currently sporting another The White Train, which sprouted twins. A first for me. Very exciting. Both stalks are doing very well and are in good health. An Afghan Kush Ryder which is one of my favorite strains for indica and a Northern Cheese Haze, both also growing nicely. I am testing those three with just two cobs, no reflectors. A Blue Cheese and an OG Kush CBD. Both of those are just finishing week 2 and have reflectors on the cobs. None of the cobs are less that 22 inches from plant tops.

I feel the need to say it again....the cobs are growing my plants much healthier than with my previous mass built led lights. I love those little lights.

My test with two cobs (no reflectors) for three plants is still working out well. Plenty of light. The The White Train that sprouted twins is flourishing. One sprout is now taller and a bit thicker than the other, however both are going gangbusters. I'm looking for a pretty good yield from the twin Train. The three plants are kind of fighting it out for space, with the Afghan Kush Ryder squeezed in the middle. The Northern Cheese Haze has gotten pretty darn tall and should be a fine yielder as well. All are 3 gallon Smart pots.

I dumped the Blue Cheese and OG Kush CBD as well as the straight coco and changed those to Coco Loco now growing a Haze CBD and a Girl Scout Cookie. 3 gallon Smart pots for those also. Coco Loco out performs Canna coco every time. I will stay with Coco Loco for now on. I might mix the two for a couple plants, but won't be using straight coco again. The Coco Loco loves Canna A&B, Rhiz and Booster. I will probably stick with those nutes only from this point forward. Along with Calmag and organic Blackstrap molasses. Reflectors are on those two cobs.

I still prefer one cob per plant, so I might buy a fifth cob if I feel like continuing with five plants.

I will be harvesting two or three of five plants in a day or two. The test of three plants under two cobs has been just fine, but not as good as one cob per plant. What I find surprising is the three plants sharing those two cobs (no reflectors) their branches facing my front row plants and those two cobs with reflectors, have been powering their way towards those front row cobs. I never seen my branches do that with such gusto previously. My plants just want to suck up as much cob light as they can. I love it. Fantastic!

Finding that right balance is key. To much is easy and to littke will show exactly what your describing. 1 cob per plant for medium sized plants should do it especially with over flow from other lights. If I were to suggest quantity for 1 plant I would say 2 cobs as well as 2 plants. I recently put 3 over one plant and within hours it showed signs of stress.
