CO2 questions...

Got it....

This is a hobby where it is all too easy to throw money at it and hope for amazing results. If you just know how to observe your plants, and listen to them, you can do a lot of stuff "wrong" along the way, according to the self proclaimed "experts", and knock it out of the park. But don't ever be afraid to try new things and experiment. It's a HOBBY, it should be FUN. I've ruined a lot of hobbies by taking it way too seriously. One of my hobbies is now my job. Growing isn't my job. It is my fun, my head clearing time.

According to many, I: feed too high a PPM, I shouldn't use the coco/soil mix I do, I shouldn't use CO2 bags, my PPFD is too high, I should LST more, I shouldn't top my plants. But...I usually get great results. Not a brag either. I just love observing my plants, seeing what they will do and having FUN. Like everything else in life, the answers are usually right there in front of you. You just have to figure out how to hear them. And always want to learn. A day without learning something, is a day wasted.

You can save yourself some money and make your own co2 dispenser. All you need is a 2 to 4l jug, some yeast, sugar and warm water.

There are some videos on YouTube on how to make them if you aren't familiar

That is how I started to play around with it. Just got tired of mixing it up and went to the bafs. Add some 1/4" tubing to the bucket and you can get fancier. Recipe for a 1 gallon bucket is...

1/2 gallon water.
4 cups of sugar
1 oz of yeast.

Swirl it up and let it go. Swirl it around every other day. After 7 days add another cup of sugar. After 14 days, dump it and repeat the above. Now I really need to get one of the Co2 meters.

If CO2 PPM monitors weren't so pricey I'd like to monitor it, but I don't have one.
Is there any out there that are reasonably priced?
If you are handy, there's modules you can buy...
After reading this here I went looking and found this very compact module that measures all kinds of fun stuf...

I am pretty handy! Yeah $157 isn’t cheap but last time I looked I was seeing $500 devices. I did find one by inkbird (I think) for $67. Thanks for the idea.
