CO2 questions...

In your experience, how many ppm does this increase levels?
It can at least double your PPM, of ambient usually being about 412.5 PPM. Elevated CO2 levels in your grow environment can increase photosynthetic productivity, and reduce stressors. C02 supplements can allow you to increase your PPFD levels. Before I began using them it seemed my plants max PPFD tolerance was a consistent 750 PPFD during flower, no matter the strain. With a CO2 supplement, I've increased the PPFD to 950 and the finish times have been dramatically reduced, and my yields increased by about 25%.

I'm assuming you have a meter? Is there any out there that are reasonably priced? Your yield increases seem to coincide with my observations since using the bags. But again, I'm just using my eyes (and scale) and I dialed in my grows before I started messing with them. I usually run around 1000 PPFD during the height of flower with no noticeable stress. Again, that is based on my own observation of what my plants can handle.

I don't think anyone on forum is running CO2. As @Dell boy said, you need a sealed room, with an airlock.

I believe CO2 bags are just an attempt to grab inexperienced growers money. They aren't going to raise the ppm to 1500.

CO2 is for commercial grow rooms, not for residential. You need your grow skills at demigod level to be able to take advantage of the slight increase it potentially has.

CO2 can allow a higher DLI. Up to about 35 DLI you get roughly a 1% increase in yield for every 1% more light. after that you only get .2% gain for each 1% additional light.

At these high light levels, any error is totally burnt plants. A serious leak can flood a dwelling with CO2, and kill you. Read that part again.
Some of these led lights like the Mars hydro 8000 CO2 light....that's why I was wondering...ya I'll leave that alone....

I use the CO2 bags if it helps. I've also experimented with yeast bombs too - homemade bucket w/yeast and sugar. I do not have a sealed room, or a CO2 PPM meter. I cycle my exhaust on and off via a schedule.

Exhale bags recommends if you don't have a sealed room to put the bag on the bottom of your tent to draw up through the plants.

Do they work? Hell I don't know man. I started trying them out on a whim to play around with. Guy on eBay who apparently lives down the road from the Exhale farm and gets them fresh he says. Sells them fairly cheaply. One thing to note - the 365 bags are supposed to last longer but they take about 3-4 weeks once you mix them to start really "working". I use 2 in a 4x4 and 1 in a 2x4.

So do they work? Again, I do not have any way to say yes. Or no. I do know that once I started playing with a homemade yeast bomb, I started getting larger plants. When I added Exhale bags to my grows I started getting my biggest yields yet. Last grow was 3 autos @ 9.9 oz, 13.4 oz and 20.5 oz respectively. You can check out my grow thread linked below in my signature.

Again, I do not know if the bags help or they just sit there laughing at me. Or whether when I added them, it just was at a perfect time when I became a better gardener. If CO2 PPM monitors weren't so pricey I'd like to monitor it, but I don't have one.

For me, it was one of those things that I just added for fun once I had dialed in my grows. So always recommend that first and not expecting a magic bullet. I'm perfectly fine knowing that it could be total snake oil. But I continue buying them because I'm totally superstitious. $30 for a bag that lasts 4-5 months is a cheap way to play around. They do add humidity though. So that's a good thing for me. YMMV.
Ok they won't hurt you and it doesn't have to be sealed?

Ok I'm getting some...

There are many reasonably priced CO2 monitors on Amazon my friend.

No, it's not going to hurt as long as it doesn't spike your humidity too much I guess. I mean it's not going to make it like 90% humidity in your tent, but it does add some. Which helps me since I'm in a dry climate. Sealed is obviously ideal.

But, it's not a magic bullet either. Not saying you think it is. But...

Dial in your grows first I would say. Figure out what nutes and growing medium you like. Observe your plants and learn when and how you can push them. Figure out how you want to train them, if you want to do that. Your lights, fans, climate, etc. Get that all dialed in and take your plants as far as you think you can doing all of the above. And then...play around with CO2.

Thanks for that, saw a couple others that aren't too badly priced as well. I could've sworn the last time I looked that they were a few hundred $$$. But admittedly it's been awhile. I'll add that to my - to do - list. Get a meter when I'm 100% satisfied and do some actual monitoring.

PS - no affiliation to the guy. But I get my bags from this dude who, again, says he is neighbors with the Exhale farm. He's generally cheaper than Amazon on the 365 bags. YMMV.
