Hello guys, since I read the forum I saw so many peoples with only 2 or 3 plants growing at the same time, or I have almost 18 plants in my grow room (3mx3mx2m) under 3x600w lumatek on super lumens, so I have a huge extractor and 1fan in to keep a good climate inside my room, I have 3 fans for moving my plants and remove the heat from the lights. I'm using a 4gl plastic pot with mix of plagron royal mix (70%), coco (30%), and some hydrocorn on the bottom.
For the nutrients I'm using Xtra Roots (Master grower), Power feeding (greenhouse), Massive bloom (Master grower).
I have been doing auto for 2 years now and its kind of different with the feminized.

So here are my question :
-How many plants should I do under my cfg?
-Which gl/type pot should I use?
-Do you cut them?
-How the feeding schedule works?

I wanna to do something better, my best harvest on AF it was on the Dinafem Cheese XXL I got 1.2g/w and the plant was pretty nice with a good taste and some high effect :)

Waiting for your replies guys have a nice one

1.2 from hps is pretty damn good. I think the only way to achieve higher numbers is a more efficient light. Hps spectrum is spot on but they do waste a lot converting energy into light. Your space seems ok for that many plants. I'd go with a few less and see how that affects the outcome. My experience is less larger plants. Large pots and plenty of good light. feed schedules vary from crop to crop, strain, lights and environment all play a huge role in your feed. I get mixed up with metric but it seems like your at 1/2 the light you should be at.

@BigSm0 Thanks dude for the answer, for all the help you have been doing on the DIY Led forum!

The meaning by the few less? I'm thinking about 4plants under each light, and change the plastic pot to Airpot or Smartpot.

Yeah I know that the feed schedules vary but when I read the forum many peoples are feeding theirs plants everyday with the nuts! Or I was doing 1 day nuts, 2day water ph, 3day no water, and I switched with everyday nuts but less water and the plants seems doing better!

In ft my room 10ftx10ftx7ft and I'll like to change for some DIY LED but need to write a thread about it :)

Didn't realize you followed along on DIY. Above was just a quick response. I'm telling you so many people don't even take the time to thank you or respond back after they get their info.

10x10 is a big room. Are you running air conditioning or just exhausting out the extra heat? That's the only major concern for most in running additional lighting. If I were you I would slowely add in some DIY to expand or slowely take away from the hps. A fiull switch would be to costly. Locally guys are adding in 6500k cobs to their hps. Not sure if your familiar with adding in metal halide to hps in flower but the additional color or light temperature is doing great things for flowering plants.

I'm running a big space as well and run straight cobs, the plants are in 7 gallon pots. Usually feed every 2-3 days until they get big and once they hit flower they are fed just about every 36 hours and always water to run off. But that's because of the high ppm of 1600-1800 in feeding. Heavy feed, big pots and good light. Gpw is high but it's also a lot different then hps gpw.

Yeah man I follow your thread and learn a lot even if it's difficult to understand some point about the COB...

Not now it's really cold now and I have a huge extractor Torin(2500m3/h), one to refresh the air (900m3/h) and GHE control climate to keep the climate around 70f.

I get lost at the 6500k COBS, no I don't use mh during the flowering.

I saw your grow with the hubbabubba man it's huge and crazy as hell what you have been doing to them, now I wanna order some Mephisto seed because of you, and the wood box for the harvest you seems to be a really good hand worker!! Its look like we have the same room, but the light you are using (Amare) are so expensive and what the difference between the COB and the Amare finally?

Thanks again for sharing your experience man I really appreciate have a good day.

As hps is more red it's ideal for flower. But people have been adding in metal halide to their grows which is higher in blue as it increases resin production and terpenes. I think it just fills in the spectrum missed in hps. Amare is a good light. Cobs match hps spectrum very well but have a very high efficiency. This means more light per watt of energy. Just about 40% more light per watt. Have you checked the autocobs out? I built these so people can supplement grows with larger lights. Even offer a 6500k option which is the same as adding metal halide. They are also fairly inexpensive compared to other cob lights and easily expandable so people can increase the number of cobs at their own pace. It's more for the long term grower, cost vs hps is a lot higher but more light per watt and less heat.

Hey thanks for your time man, well I understand a little bit more about the light.
So I cannot match HPS and Amare at the same time? Yeah I checked already the 55w at 150$? I wanna buy one but leaving in EU, so I cannot connect with the voltage right? It's less cheaper than when you DIY, more expensive but less consomation, no need to change the light every 6months, good for the skin the eyes, and you get between 51% to 58% efficient of light and less heat into the grow room!

What do you suggest for 6500k light to buy?

Have a good day all
