Lighting Ceramic Metal Halide

Not much to do today. Now that I'm working in a 5 gal pot I won't go smaller. Watering is better and slower. Even at 1.5 liters 2 days no problem, even 3 days would be ok. Some pics here of the Brainstorm. I'm gonna focus on two buds here. One is in the core footprint, the other is in the farthest corner, worst possible place. The Chunk is in the back a bit tougher to reach. After I hang my filter I'm going to hang a 15 watt daylight in each corner adding 60 watts and a half amp on the line. 8th day of flower.

Flowering Day 11

2 liters well water, 2 ml silica blast, 2 ml HiBrix molasses last night. Brainstorm got a little beat up on last feeding but is a known light feeder and bounces back quickly. I'm committed to pushing them a lot harder this round. The Chunk to me seems a bit lazy. Known to go long, I'm actually expecting a month after the Brainstorm long droopy leaves, a little floppy and wild. Both plants have a similar structure with very even branching on the Brainstorm. Buds are stairstepping around the stems and go right down to the screen on the larger top branches.
Theres a canopy shot here. The Pineapple chunk is a very dark green that blobs together in the pics. I will stay on 2 buds, one under center and another on the edge to compare. Side shot (white behind) and top of the center bud. The small bud is on the edce and is only an inch or so above the screen. And it's a small lower branch. Worst case scenario. Would be trimmed for popcorn on a vertical grow.

Lush.... Pineapple chunk..... It's Saturday morning.... The garden is waking up..... What do ya reckon..... A Chunk Colada or a Mai Chunk to ward off dehydration.... Lol

How long do you think they have to go to harvest..... And matching TaNg...... Yeah, that's true bliss and happiness....... And lofty ...lol

This is the Brainstorm. Northern Lights #5 x Haze, Dutch Passion. Hoping the stairstepping can be seen. The rotation and spacing are perfect. Very nice to look at for too long. Smoked some grinder hash tonight, Blue Kush. Thick heavy smoke. Heavy stone for about an hour. ummm no probably 2, lol. Smoke em if you got em.

April 1 they both showed pistils. I'm counting from there. I see the Brainstorm at or about 9-10 weeks. Supposed to be a short flower I think. Daytime smoke, Early chop probably better than late. There's some pretty long Pineapple chunk grows out there. 13-14 weeks and more, but they are kinda old. I'm gonna try to get in to a taller box for the next round so getting it out for something else not a problem, and I'm thinking a late cut better, stony, stony. The night smoke. I've been wanting to say there is very little odor unless they are touched. No filter needed at this point.

I have the 120 volt 4200K model of the LEC315. This is the bulb it came with. Got my filter in today, but honestly the smell of both is better than the Blue Kush was. 4x20 filter, and the larger 4 inch hydrofarm fan, cfm-wise. Still need to mount an intake to push a little cool fresh air in, using a magnetic fan from a projection TV (used to cool the TV's projection light, high quality, very quiet. and free) on a 5 volt charger. I've been leaving the door cracked and I've been around 85F most of the time. I'd be happier at 80 and it's certainly in reach. Just another hole in the box, lol.

Brainstorm

Day 13. The Brainstorm looks pretty good, maybe a little dry. New growth is healthy, green, and focused at the buds up and down the stems. Same two buds from previous post, good and bad light, Side shot, top shot. Nutes today. No molasses for either plant. Held the line on the Brainstorm, adding in the Grotek brought some yellowing last round, nothing out of hand, but I'll give it another go before I reduce. .15 grams Grotek Monster Bloom, 6 ml Big Bloom, 4 ml Grow Big, 4ml Tiger Bloom, 4 ml Cal-Mag, 2 ml Silica Blast, 2 l well water.

The Pineapple Chunk is taking it all in stride. A bit floppy since the scrog, It's been a little slower getting with the program, but looked much better today. Increasing the dose today across the board. .3 grams Grotek Monster Bloom, 10 ml Big Bloom, 6 ml Grow Big, 6 ml Tiger Bloom, 4 ml Cal-Mag, 2 ml Silica Blast, 2 l well water.

Pineapple Chunk

Day 15. Expected to water tonight, but the moisture meter said not to. They will def be thirsty tomorrow though. Canopy is holding it's height well. The edges are coming up and leaning in slightly, starting the bowl shape. Screen is filling in again after last big defoliation. I've been working on my temps and I'm around 81-82F after a few hours lights on. That's much better, last few days were hot as I'm dialing in to my small box. The box is 90% there, I'd like to add a pair of HO T5 UVB tubes, one on each side of the LEC315 running the length of each plant. probably 24 watters. The Chunk showed some light yellowing at the very tips (first time) top to bottom after the last feed which was upped quite a bit. She's supposed to be a heavy feeder and I'm keeping my foot on the gas next feed.

This one is tough to photograph. Wild and green, quite dark. Placed a white sheet of paper behind to isolate and provide contrast. Same two buds from previous post, plus a third cause it's so damn pretty. The first is a top branch under the core light, top and side. Then a lower branch that would be popcorn in a vertical grow that I'm hoping to turn into golfballs. On the Chunk all the larger stems have thrown a big single shoot off to one side, making them shaped like Ys. You can see one just above my thumb, it's as big as the main stem.

Quiet today. In and out. quick tuck and pluck and some water. 2 liters well water, 4ml silica blast, 4ml Cal-mag. Girls look good. Planning another heavy watering when it's dry to scavenge up leftover nutes from the soil. Kinda greenhouse seeds style, then slam em again with the nutes.
