Would adding some rice help speed up the evaporation process during curing? Has anyone tried?

Need to burp them at least once a day. As they cure they will give off gases that need to be vented. I like to smell mine as soon as I open the jars. Once the hay and/or sour smell goes away your can vent them less often but that probably won't be for at least a month.

wow at least a month? i thought 1 to 2 weeks at best before i can smoke my stuff after drying..looks like a month and a half between drying/curing, huh? i should be harvesting in a few weeks, and i was hoping to be smoking my own by mid may~prob not gonna happen, huh?:cry:

NA you can still smoke some....I'm smoke,in some of mine now taste not very strong in like medical good weed taste, but high is their of sure,hopefully the taste will come

A full cure actually takes 3-4 months. No reason you can't smoke some in the mean time.

so when im buying some dank nugz from my dealer, the guy that has been growing them has grown/dried/cured for 7 months before i even lit it up in my bowl? i just assumed they were harvested weeks before, but they always taste and smell bomb, so he mustve done a full cure id imagine~

Confused.....if you look at my pics one of the last two plants I have looks weird smells dank and plenty f sugar buds look like a bunch of the things I between the nodes I guess calyx es,I may be wrong.and they all have red hairs and some white,could this be hermie ......I don't think so but I want your expert opinion,so I can sleep

thats funny, I know exactly what your talking about, i think they ARE calyx, but it almost looks like a big ball with either golden, or white pistils coming out right at the nodes to the main stem

It might be what you are used to though, since I have never made my own, I just assumed that dankness and strong smell was good stuff.. Little did I know.. Now after I make my own, WITHOUT SEEDS DAMN YOU DEALER!!, I can finally judge what is good. 4 months for a full cure? I couldn't wait that long if I tried. Why does it take so long?

Maybe neither one of us, growbewan, can say we have truly had dankness.

One more thing kind sir.......have u had that Brownie yet,I gotta make some of those...when I burp how long should lid stay off...or does it not matter..when u burp do you take buds out of jar spread them out

LOL, found some left over rice in the fridge so opted to make some rice and eggs with cannaoil instead. Eating it as I type. The brownies were made from some indicas and need to do a few things this afternoon, so opted for the sativa oil instead.

I like to take mine out for a minute or two, long enough for the gases to vent off.
