Do these work as good or better?

Looks like a car air filter lol
Where did you see that mate? I'm looking for a carbon filter at the moment. That one certainly looks nice and compact.

So all i need to do is get the carbon filter and a vortex fan? Will it work for killing odor even if im not exhausting my air anywhere? Just Light--to tubing--to fan--to carbon filter? Wouldnt i need to remove the glass on my 400 hps to suck the air properly. I dont care about air cooling the light, strictly smell. Sorry for so many questions

I've been finding cheap deals on them everywhere, but i can not punch any holes in my closet.

Us shipping only.. Looks neat even says its washable. Never heard of that before? I see why you are intrigued

Carbon filter - > Fan -> Cooltube -> tubing out where you want odor free :)

Always put the carbon filter first so the fan "sucks" air thru..

This is growing 1.01?!

@ JEM you will need a carbon filter attached to a inline fan, you do want it to exhaust out, if you can't and your just circulating it inside the room... i am un sure of the results. Currently i am running a 4 inch inline fan with a CAN carbon filter from HTGSupply.

Maybe someone else can chime in here and see if not exhausting it out will infact still clean the air

Im only able to get one side of my HPS open for the tubing...So you have to run thru both sides to make the carbon filter work?

Hmm I dont understand how you setup looks now..

I have my carbon filter first - > after that i have my fan that sucks air thru the -> air vented hood with a 600w HPS - > after that i have a ALU ducting leading heat out from my grow space.

But if you cant lead it thru your HPS go Carbon filter - > Fan - > Lead air out.

This is fine if you have room in your grow space for the filter, but not everyone does. I push air into the carbon filter which sits outside my tent, and it removes 100% of the odor. I've read that you lose 5-10% of the CFM by pushing instead of pulling through the filter, but my fan has plenty of power to handle it.
