Canna coco professional

One last question. Can i pop it straight in or do i need to reduce the ec? Should seedling be about 0.2 0.3 ec? Whats the canna ec at in bag?
I do most of my grows with Canna coco.
Brick, mixed with roughly 25% perlite.
I start my seeds / seedlings in pure canna, then transfer into 7.5 liter airpots for the rest of the grow.
What I haved noticed, and this may only be strain specific.
Is that my seedlings always start off with purple stems for the first two weeks.
Zero feed at this stage ( usually).
What I have been doing with relative success is watering in the first two weeks with a 50ppm mix of epsom salt( no calcium).
This solves the purple stem issue and avoids the mg def'c untill the calmag that in mega crop.

I know this sounds nutty, but it works.
And my dad would say, you can never argue with success
So from one grow bro to another.
This works for me

Hi EP3.

From the canna infopages regarding Canna Coco Professional Plus, it says - "Pot directly into COCO right out of the bag, the EC is below 1. "

Your good to go my friend as you know I use the same media its OK for seedlings right out of the bag

Thank you. I appreciate the advice. I have had little success on previous attempts. This time i have a new, way better light (had cheap blurple thing, rubbish!)cloth pots, mylar on the walls, better passive ventilation, properly prepaired medium. Just want 3rd time to be lucky.
Thank you again

i think your doing all the right steps and learning from your other grow and that's why its so good to do journals just to be able to go back and say i remember that problem or fix from last time as you only get better with practice. and i was in your same place in 2016 and 2017 and the people on here who i had probably pestered with questions they never got annoyed with me that's when i knew this was my canna home and i never left

Thank you, brothers. Everyone has made me feel welcome and made me feel like there are no silly questions.
Thank you again,

Thanks for the reps buddy! :d5:

The only reason i don't grow with coco now , is that i don't have the time to do the proper care routine that i used to enjoy (the concoting and mxing and PHing and ECing .. meters and numbers)

I've been developing a lazy ass style (with mixed results!) ... keep up with Tom on the coco and you'll be pulling monsters in No time!! (look how many AFN cups he's won!! :O )

Cheers!!
:cheersmate:
