Damn Cody that is really intuitive and cool. Great idea. I have been brainstorming a ton of DIY hydro and now I have a few more techniques I could use. Thanks!
i see the airpots very easy to make but it would not be very cost effective..
there is a couple of ways i can see to do it.. first way would be to vacuum form some black plastic over something like sound proofing material which has the needed cone shapes..
. this would leave you with a sheet of cone shaped plastic which could then be bent into a round pot shape..
the other way i have thought of is to get a hoover stick it on the side of a plastic plant pot then heat the other side until it sucks the needeed cone shape, drill some holes... sorted...well kinda
i love all these ideas!!! its awesome what "some stoners" can come up with. as for that airpot hydro grow set up. il strait up buyone from you lol thats legit. i can only imagine what that can do for a plant with the wick and the already airy medium thats genious!.. keep the ideas rolling everyone this is awesome engineering at its fineest.:thumbs:
i am also surprised i havent seen a pots like this being used.. im sure the effect would be very similar to the airpot.. please excuse the bad diagram and tell me your thoughts

no my idea was just to have air pumping in through the side of the pot(say have 50 air intakes all the way around the pot), maybe an airstone in the base would help too.. i think with the right medium it could work a treat.. maybe like a coco perlite mix??
ps.. airstones work better out of water, no resistance/water pressure to push air through..
