Can you help a girl out?

soil can be ph 4.5-8.5 straight outa the bag.a ph pen/probe may not be needed, but its a hell of a handy tool to have when things don't look quite right.
good luck.

The one thing is, any thing with a N-P-K over 1 is not organic? I know it says organic but truth be told it is not... I would get a ph pen and ph all your water/feed's.......... And I would add some epsom salt and Molasses to your feed schedule looks to need a bit of CAL/MAG ..

what it sounds like is your using simple organics.which is fine, the thing about autos is PH usually.with organics, living or simple, youll have to buffer that soil using some lime.next time use about a 1/2 cup or so for the whole bag 1.5CF or 2CF and that'll help some.but when using frass, tomato tone and similar it has to be either blended and/or given time to work.but imo Id use an earth worm casting tea and a lil bit of molasses and epsom salts like GO mentioned.prior to that(although wont help for a lil bit ) turn a cpl TBspoons of pellet lime or garden lime in the top coating and keep that moist not wet for a week n a half or so and you should see more improvement.and imo also simple 10 dollar water PH meters are well wirth it.everyone i know gathers intel prior to building a soil and feeding it especially if that medium and gear is new.never trust something is OH mellow and neutral cause it says organic of the dudes really cool. LOL! other than that that'll help you some.small air blowing on the leaves for small leaf flutter also helps disipate the heat at the top too.which might be a small issue, but feed and PH right now are key.imo anyways.

When I (successfully) grow, I hardly feed until the plant has at least 4 sets of leaves, then I feed a little bit. Once it's branching, I feed a little more, but not a lot, maybe at most 1\3 of fertilizer directions
The soil has enough nutrients for a tiny plant.
Over watering and overfeeding are the most common beginner mistakes.
Also - Get a good book, like by Jorge Cervantes, it is worth the money.

:smoking: Curlygirl- ... small size likely caused by not enough food, and the color spectrum of those CFL's is suboptimal (not enough blue, which is best for growth),... soil pH is always relevant, organic or not,... unless you're using a true, well made TLO (true living organic) type soil, which will (or should) do the pH balancing act by itself, the microbes alone will not keep pH in check,.... first, you have to have the right types and numbers of those 'crobes, so inoculants and earthworm poop teas are very helpful for this,... organic based feeds need to be broken down by them into absorbable forms for the plant,... and the feeds and supplements themselves are likely not pH balanced when put into solution, though they should be better than synthetics,... still, my GO Box organic nute's were this way, and needed some adjusting-- too acidic sometimes! Black Gold soil can be acidic too, from what I've seen, but the only way to test is with a quality soil probe...Accurate 8 is a good choice, for the price .... lower first leaf looks okay for this late in the game, and might be getting tapped into now for needed nutrients,... that newest growth is looking too pale, and might be starting a Fe or S defc.,... how's it looking now? Some fresh pics would be helpful with diagnostics, please! :toke:

Thanks for all the advice! The last pics were horrible and made her look much worse than she really was at the time. The bottom leaves got burned when I top dressed with tomato tone, but I think she's doing better now. She just needed some food and a big drink of water! She's three weeks old today and has been growing 1/2-1" per day for the last few. I gave her some EWC/Molasses tea this morning. She about 7" tall tonight. I'll post a few more pics. I'm sorry my camera stinks. Let me know what you think?
