Hey man, if your pots are getting lighter quicker, they're drinking water quicker. If not, they're not.
Don't change your watering schedule because you found a dry spot on your plant, unless you know you've neglected the plant. When I've been late watering, the whole plant shows it, not just one spot. Plants will usually drink a good bit more water when they're closing out but, you can tell when you pick the pot up that it's dry, or almost dry. And if you're late watering, the leaves will wilt before they start to dry out, at least in my experience.
At this point you're in a position to do whatever you want with the plant. Based on things you've said, you can take it right now, if you want. Or, take some now, some later, without really making a mistake. The longer you leave her, the more couch lock. If you like that kind of effect, let her go.
